Vending/soda Machines

I'm thinking seriously about getting one to dispense soda and water, when find a building for my business. I see BJ's sells them for $3400. Any alternatives? Does anyone know if vending machine companies still do it? (Used to be they'd install one for free and give you like a quarter for ever soda sold. That was years/ions ago.)

On topic: I think there are private companies you can go through to avoid paying for a full machine.

They still do that. Guys drop them off and take a cut. If the machine doesn't produce they either yank it or stop filling it. If you want all the profit a cheaper route than buying a vendor would be a cooler box. You can pick them up used way cheaper than a vendor-look for a C store going out of business.

If you want to give a vintage feel and sell the crap out of some drinks get the old timey glass versions. I have a buddy that is VP of a C store chain and they sell tons of them in ice barrels.

If it doesn't take credit/debit I wouldn't get it.

Used/rebuilt is the way to go! I looked on fleabay and there are some within 3-4 hour drive for under $1000 dollars. Some are less than $500! Heck of a lot better than $3400 new! I'll have to check Craig's list when I get ready.
