Looks to be a great tourney... with Tiger, Phil and Bubba paired for the first two days.

Ima be out of town today and tomorrow but hopefully I'll get to catch some of it later tonight... should be on late due to the west coast venue.

Have you seen #16? 670 yard par 5... that's crazy even for the open...

Hey, Kevin Greene, who you pulling for? :P

I will be watching every moment I get a chance to. I am out in SF about 4 or 5 times a year and have had the great opportunity to play both the Lakes and Ocean courses at Olympic.

The Lakes course is built for Tiger to win, so I wouldn't be surprised if he carries this tourney.

Side note that doesn't mean anything: I am a 2 handicap and I didn't shoot better than an 87 on either course from the men's tees. This tournament will be a great one.

Yeah these pros are mostly all +2 to +10... I might could break 90 if I played great, I'm playing at a 9 handicap now.

Props to Dpantherman for telling me about the USOpen app... Watching the marquee group now on my phone... 4G is so awesome.

And props to you for just now telling me about the USOpen app as well. Downloading it now.

    • Bryce and Dave will determine how many games this team wins next year. It’s not on the WRs. The RBs. LBs. This is about 2 things: 1. Can Bryce continue to come up big in the few key downs that decide most games?  2. Can Canales evolve his play calling to counter punch like the big boys do. Half time adjustments.  teams that score 30+ points on the regular win more games than not. That’s on Bryce and Dave. The offense is top 10 at every position group, save for TE and QB. A baller TE is gravy but not crucial when the receivers are dudes.  The defense is the defense. It’ll be better this season, hopefully by a large margin, but Dave/Bryce is really where it’s at.
    • Normally I'd wholeheartedly agree with this. But I feel like teams figured out this offense after the Raiders game. Bryce was so inept the first 2 games that we couldn't really even run the offense. Dalton's first game showed what we had. But after that game, coverages got a lot tighter and windows were smaller. When Bryce came back in, his ability to extend plays made a big difference. It's really difficult to stop a QB that can beat/escape 1on1 tacklers. It puts a lot of pressure on the defense when you blitz. And he was completing throws in tight coverage with anticipation. Point being Bryce wasn't throwing to wide open receivers that were schemed open by the offense. Occasionally yes. But not often.
    • With the additions we've made to our roster combined with the state of the division and the conference as a whole there is no excuse for this team not to make a legitimate push for 8-9 wins. Anything less is honestly inexcusable. There will be no more free passes for being a doormat in this iteration of the league where even mediocre teams are competing for playoff spots.
