He'll be drafted, the Browns, Dolphins and at least one NFC team (unnamed) have shown a high volume of interest in Gordon.

I'm sure there's intrest in him, and he likely will be drafted, but I still wouldn't be shocked if he wasn't. I'm going to make a guess and say someone will get him in the 6th.

A few tidbits...

- Steve Smith (Utah) and David Gettis (Baylor) represent the two schools Gordon enrolled at

- Gettis and Gordon were actually teammates in 2009 at Baylor, Gettis was a senior and Gordon was a freshman.

Also, neither Gettis nor Gordon have played a down since 2010.

I'm leaning more toward the third, fourth, and fifth founds due to the third round grade that, that unnamed NFC East team put on him.

I have been doing a lot of research on Josh Gordon for about a week and I finally had time to post my write-up.

About eight hours ago, it was reported that an NFC East team (presumably the Cowboys or Redskins) is prepared to put a third round bid on Gordon. Now I'm not sure if it's just a smoke screen, but I see Gordon going fairly early in the supplemental draft. I previously mentioned the Browns and Dolphins as landing spots for Mr. Gordon, but I don't see either of them forking over anything more than a fifth for "Flash".

However, the fact that a high ranking Baylor official has come out and said that Baylor actually preferred Gordon over Wright has caused a lot of teams to do a double take on Josh; which is why he may go higher than you think.

Also of note, Gordon will hold his official pro day on Tuesday.

I seem to be missing your point? If you are suggesting field rust or that of some sorts, I wouldn't count on it. Gordon has been staying active through his own workouts and like I previously mentioned, he will be holding his pro day on Tuesday.

As far as Gettis is concerned, he looked solid in mini-camp and is on track to return to the field by training camp.

Gettis will certainly be further along than Gordon is due to the fact that Gettis has the privilege of working with a professional doctor/trainer/recovery program, etc... regardless; I wouldn't expect a digression from either wide out this year.

There will be some rust, practicing and actually playing are two different things. It may take a preseason game or three to get their sea legs back.

    • I have said if you out even an average QB into the offense we are averaging 25+ points a game. But that will never happen with Bryce under center.
    • The defense is 28 out of 32 in salary cap allocation for 2025. We have a ton of resources tied up in the offense including the highest paid OL in the league multiple 1st round WR's and multiple recent draft picks across the offense at TE and RB and we have two 1000 yard backs. Bryce and company couldn't get past Tyler Shough and his crew in 2 games. That's all there is to it. You can spin it and put the entire onus on the defense to your heart's desire it doesn't change the fact that this is an OFFENSIVE team now. If you want to argue that we should revert back to a defensive identity as we have been in the past which has brought us success then I will agree with you on that. But as it stands the onus is on the offense because that is where we have invested through the nose. Dave Canales and Bryce Young need to do a hell of a lot better than they have against the rebuilding Saints who without us should only have 2 wins this season.
    • Bryce is not trending up. He is the same QB he has always been. Bottom of the league in most categories.  If Canales thinks he can build a contender with Bryce then he is a bigger idiot then I thought.  Offense next year will have the same issues and be just as inconsistent as it was this year.  We have seen Bryce’a ceiling and it is 175 yards a game and that is not a QB you keep around as your starter. That is barely a backup.
