If Justin Medlock isn't given the starting nod, I will rage

I feel like if you want to have a championship team, you have to have a guy at every position that everyone can believe in to do their job. Mare is booed by our fans, and you know our teammates dislike him due to missing crucial kicks that resulted in losses last year.

Medlock is clearly capable of producing the same results as Mare, and most likely exceeding Mare's numbers last season which should result in him getting the starting gig.

I just hope they allow the best man to play. Something tells me they won't. Then again Fox is in Denver, not Charlotte. Maybe things really have changed.

You're god damned right pads mean a lot for a kicker. Pads with live bullets flying at you, that makes a hell of a difference. You can't crown somebody after two days of training camp.

He was hitting 60+ yarders from a FG Tee at the BOA practices!

It would be way easier to swallow if Medlock were to miss it instead of Mare. If Mare misses it, it's almost like we learned nothing from last year. If Medlock misses it, at least we tried to make a change

He's been on 10 teams since being drafted out of UCLA in 2007.

Oh yea, and 4 of those were of the Canadian ilk and he did knock a few home for the Omaha Nighthawks.

A home run kicker would not have that resume.

I like what he did today but I'm going to wait until preseason starts up and he's kicking in game time situation. If he's still doing the same thing and making the FG's with ease, then they have to let Mare go because it would make no sense to keep him. Plus the other guy would be cheaper!!
