Damn...can you guys make a opinion on the season after the third pre-season game? That's when a little game-planning takes place and that is where the starters play for 3 quarters. Making opinions about the football team after the first pre-season game is asinine.

STFU & GTFO... we don't care about rational objections around these parts...

I'm still not happy with the D and St either, but I'm trying to keep in mind that it's just the first preseason game. I'll withhold judgement until I see a few more. Mostly I'm just interested in seeing individual performances, and some of those have been really good!

Keep In mind it was Houston's first preseason game aa well.

The defense gave up 6 points in the first half. How bad can they be?? People expect the D line to hold on every play and the secondary to bat down every pass. Sure special teams gave up a huge return and still sucks but the defense looked pretty good especially with the good field position Houston had. We caused turnovers which is their job. IN 2009 New Orleans rode a defense that gave up plenty of yards but caused lots of turnovers all the way to the Super bowl.

      I don't really care as much about athleticism and arm strength.  While Murray might be better in that regard, I think Bryce has enough of both to do well in the NFL. The main reason this trade reference is silly is the money and the fact that Murray has been around a long while and hasn't proven that he can perform consistently when the game is on the line.  Bryce has shown that he can play well in the clutch (in the few opportunities he has had).

      If Bryce can continue the level of play he showed after the benching, then there's a good shot we at least compete to win the division. Tampa is a solid team but even last year in our week division they went 10-7 and will be on their 4th OC in as many years. The Saints are a mess and are in a mist of a half rebuild half still trying to compete mode and will probably be starting a rookie QB. The Falcons are a wild card as they have a really good offense but are we really crowning Michael Penix as a franchise QB after just 3 games?  The only thing I want out of this season is for Bryce to come out and without a shadow of a doubt prove he's our franchise QB. If that happens then most of the fanbase would be happy and I believe we'd be in a good place record wise at the end of the season. Maybe falling just short of winning the division with a chance to sneak in as a wild card team.
