2013 = Best DT Draft Class ever?

I find the the loop rhetoric that you Hurney apologists spew out every year to be absolutely comical.

"we dont draft for need! We go BPA! Don't want our picks to bust! That's the way HurneyMagic does and it's best you just to accept it! If we have needs at other places we will fill them with proven commodities in free agency!"

*free agency comes*

"omg I'm so tired of all the threads about wanting quality players! Just stop it! The Hurndog has made it very clear we build this team through the draft and don't sign good players in free agency! It's best you just accept it! Hurneys' the expert and you are not!"

Reid from LSU looks solid.

i was just looking at him.

if i had to focus my attention on one position...it would be safety and reid is probably my top choice there. i like him and tj mcdonald and kenny voccarro. i'd be happy with any of those three. i expect the safety to be athletic and good in coverage, but a third and equally important thing is that they be big.

Why are you guys so obsessed over positions again? Did drafting Luke not teach you anything? The FO is going to look for players who fit the mold of this team - decently athletic players with a good work ethic, before they'll look at positional needs.

    • It shows how short the actual span of a NFL career actually is.  We get caught up with the few guys that play until 40-years old, but that's an extraordinary tiny fraction of the League.  What you may or may not have intentionally done there is show how we quickly move off guys like that but are stubbornly hanging onto Bryce.  His new running mate, Kenny Pickett, drafted just one year earlier is already on his 4th or 5th team.  Kenny isn't horrible, but he's not good enough to be a franchise QB.  Some franchises get it, chalk it up as a miss and move on.  Others double down on trying to make things work until the relationship completely deteriorates. *cough* Dolphins and Cardinals *cough*
    • Winner of 7 vs 8 seed game gets 7th seed. Loser of that game plays against winner of 9 vs 10 seed game. Winner of that game (loser of 7 vs 8 against winner of 9 vs 10) gets 8th seed. So in reality if you make it to the 7 vs 8 game, it’s win and in for your team. Lose that game and you get another shot at getting in. If you have to play the 9 vs 10 game, lose once you are gone. Win the first game as a 9 vs 10 competitor and you still have to win again to get in.
    • DJ Chark, Hayden Hurst, and Bradley Bozeman all started for the Carolina Panthers during Bryce Young’s rookie season. All 3 have announced retirement after two years.  Scott Fitterer was that bad.   And his #1 receiver Thielen also just retired
