Shockey toughness?

I've always liked Shockey and i think the offense is missing his attitude and toughness. No he's not the player he once was but sometimes having a guy like Shockey in the lockerroom brings a winning mindset. The offense looked much more aggressive last season. I understand Shockey may not even wonna play at this point in his life but his presence is missed.

I miss Shockey too, but I think it's a huge reach to say his absense made a difference in how agressive the offense was in game one. Any team that needs one particular player as a cheerleader, to get 'em going, isn't gonna be a winner.

Agree to an extent, though I suppose his time is just up.

If they could have run the ball with any moderate degree of success they would have likely won the game. I'd also like to see an intermediate pass game develop....something that is a bit quicker to develop.

I can tell you this that if Tolbert is suppose to be Shockey's replacement, Id rather have Shockey based on how we utilize Tolbert.

Well, I'd rather not have a lot of players based on what Chud does...

Would rather have defensive players

    • Kyzir White is available
    • Well this is not a positive development for the team in the slightest. We just got a lot thinner at a very thin position.
    • Terrible news all around. Concussion demon takes another panther- Luke, oher, and now jewell. Panthers seemed to want to re-do the contract and Jewell didn't want too, that's a sign that he's retired for good.    I've already arm-chair GM this, its bad. Just nothing on the market, not even a Cloweny-like cut waiting for the right team. Trade wise, another big bad. Jags may have two- former 1st round Lloyd . Member the CJ Henderson trade, Panthers sent a 3rd- Chad Muma was used on that pick. He's done near nothing, but listed as LB and  he's in the last year of deal. Jags drafted two MLBs this yr. Drew Sanders from broncos former 3rd coming off a torn ach......ugh he's young! Channing Tindall of the phins, another 3rd rounder in the final year without doing much.. Brian Asamoah of the Viking, 3rd rounder in the final year without doing much.......     Cuts seemed to be the best path, by far. I don't know if Dan should trade swap 6th for one of those 3rd round duds and a 7th.      Panthers are going to need a huge surprise from Bam Martin, windom(statered some last yr), or the other UDFA Nomura.  That's the best hope right now, someone on the current roster shows up and shocks everyone while they take over a starting MLB job.
