89 started screaming and cursing at Cam last night

He just needs to realize that the camera is always going to be on him like it's always on Brady, manning, Rodgers, etc. Therefore he cant sulk like a baby during times of adversity or his image is going to stay the same.

Amazing how the kid who was ripped by the media has a camera in his face where every pout or move he makes is recorded and scrutinized. I guess the media is very much hell-bent to continue pushing their mindset that Cam is another VY. I guess we all are in the eyes of some. UNLESS, they say otherwise.

Where's the camera when all these VETS sulk when they don't play well? Oh yes, it's the usual smearing that is always being done by the our media against a QB they don't care for.

YES, CAM IT'S YOUR FAULT THE PANTHERS LOST. EVERYTHING IS ALWAYS YOUR FAULT BECAUSE IT'S SIMPLY EASY TO MAKE YOU THE SCAPE-GOAT CAUSE YOUR NOT A MEDIA DARLING.

And you folks seriously wonder why this team will never make it to a play off.

That was very tacky of Steve...Why not simply become the Jets and throw your QB under the bus so the media can rip into him.

How come we never see stuff like this when sulkers like Tom Brady sit by himself?

Steve talk aout Cam's attitude of sulking...His attitude of not thinking before he speaks seems way more damaging.

But we all know the media will simply reward Smithy for giving them ammunination against. Cam. I'm sure he's securing his tv job when he's ready to retire by play their dirty game.

I take it that you don't remember the issues and shitting on that Eli took his first 4 years or so? People and the media basically called him a sissy pussy for the first half of his career. Winning fixes all things when it comes to national perception.

I'm as big a fan of Cam as the next guy, but your constant White Knighting is really tiresome, not to mention glaringly blind to the facts.

Funny thing is...NO ONE SEEMS TO MAKE MUCH OF IT WHEN THOSE VETS, WHO HAVE BEEN IN THE GAME LONG AND PLAYING LONG, SULK.

But Cam is the media whooping boy. They select which player they are going to attack at every turn. While ignoring the same behavior by their more chosen players.

ALL QBs react to losing differently. I remember how much Cutler was ripped into when his team was losing and one of the teammate lighten him up and he was caught on camera laughing.

The endless ranting of how he wasn't taking the game seriously.

Steve needs to stop feeding the trolls in the media. He could have kept what he said to himself. He already knows how much the vultures in the media are looking for Cam's flesh.

Steve doesn't have clarence to talk sideways to Cam. Cam is the heart and soul of this franchise and where he goes the Panthers go. If he wanted to talk with him, he could schedule some time with him during the coming week if he can clear it with Cam's personnel and agent. Cam is above being talked down to.

Tell me your jokn

Actually I do. And that was the reason why I rooted for him despite his flaws. BTW, you're talking to a Gaints fan.

I remeber how much scorn he received because he took away Kurt Waren's job,

As I've said for a very long time. Those who use to play the game now feel it's their job to control it from their new jobs in the media.

BTW, Cam treatment is so very obvious. This kid is under pressure to turn a team around that can't seem to get out of their own way. All eyes are on him. Why isn't he treated like Luck? oh yes, because Luck is assumed to be automatically qualified to be a QB simply because...The camera caught Luck all up in one of his players face and that was states as HIM SHOWING GOOD LEADERSHIP. I'm sure if it was Cam, it would have been interpreted differently. The obvious discrimination towards certain players by our "elite media" is quite telling. Oh yeah, he's intentionally painted as "one of those kinds" and now he have to keep a "close eye" on him and tell him how to behave like he's some convict or something.

FYI, The Saints lost to the panthers was WAY more of a shocker..Don't recall any of those players throwing their QB under the bus despite his many Ints and mistakes. I guess that is the BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN class and NO CLASS.

They might be visibly frustrated after a loss but none of them act like that in front of the media. Cams reactions last night and last year were commensurate with a guy whose team had just lost the super bowl on a last second field goal. It's way out of proportion and the media notices. He just needs to stop the overreaction and some of the media stuff will die down.

WRONG..Yes they do...It just seems as if certain players are ententionally singled out and painted in a negative light by out media. No matter what they do, it get spun into something negative.

i watch a whole lot of Football and see tons of Vet QBs with towelson their heads and NOTHING GETS MADE OF IT.

And who gives a rat's BEHIND if the kid wants to sulk. Why do we feel we need to dictate to Cam how he should handle his feelings like he's some animal and not human? If he feels like sulking then so be it. Tom Brady screams at his players and no one makes much of it. As a matter of fact, he acted holier than thou during the first game and media briefly mentioned it and it was quickly dsmissed.

Every fugging thing Cam does gets put under a fugging microscrope. From how many Ints he throws to him sitting with a towel over his head. Talk about intentionally turning this kid into another VY simply because they know they can.

It seems as if our media now dictates who and how we're to treate these athletes. Since Cam wasn't a media darling. If he's not continually please the media, it's means his days as a QB are #/d.

And I'm sure the constant scrutiny of his behavior is nothing more than a passive aggressive way to build a case when that time comes to treat him like they are VY.

Because he's the most popular new QB in the league. No one's going to talk about Brady's semi-gayness or him screaming at players because no one gives a poo. Brady has been in the league for over a decade. Everyone knows what and who Brady is. You are really over thinking this my brother. It's just like Bryce Harper for the Nationals. He's an extremely talented player, probably a generational talent, but also might be a douchebag drama queen and is subsequently followed around with a camera and a fine tooth comb.

Get over it. It's not race related (at least primarily. Not saying that it's not for everyone, just not the primary reason for the media circus)

No issue at all with Smitty unloading on Cam on the sideline.....

Running his mouth to the media? Lame. Just like with Beason calling Pep via the media. Call out players on the field, on the sideline, in the lockerroom or behind closed doors.....nothing needs to be justified or said through the media.

I'm not sure how much creditably Smith has when it comes to being a professional.

What I find so funny is how much folks tollerate Steve's behavior but sit and attacka kid for being himself. Yeah, you Panthers' fans much rather your players jumping into the faces of other players and behaving the way Steve does. That shows such class.

Oh yes, Steve is well liked by the media, so he can do no wrong.

Talk about twisted.

    • I’m not mad at Moehrig.  He’s great at what he does.  And to be honest, a lot of my favorite safeties in our history were box-first type guys - Maxie, Minter, Mike Mitchell, Chris Harris…  they’re first and foremost objective was to put people on their backs and coverage was secondary.  There is a place for that.  There is a definite need for that.  Physical guys that set the tone.  So cool, we have that in Moerhig. But what we have lacked for the vast majority of our existence is a true free safety that cleans everything up on the back end.  Sometimes they come in the form of a JOAT, like Peppers.  I think he would be a fantastic compliment to Moehrig’s strengths and weaknesses.  If we don’t go after him, I certainly hope Ransom is given the chance to grow and develop in real-time with real game reps, because what he did in preseason was very encouraging to see.  I hope he can grow into that roaming center fielder with a little bit of an edge to him as an enforcer as well.  He has the tools.  In the meantime, adding Peppers would only help.
    • Option 1 is most likely. Even if he kills it this year, it wouldn't be prudent to rush an extension for one good season. If you have to pay him more because you waited another year, then he earned it. And that's OK. Adjust accordingly.
    • Cam had the advantage of having a very strong supporting cast his first 2 seasons. Things definitely worsened later on. But those first couple of years can kill a QB. Some never truly recover. If they do recover it takes years, and usually with another team. Trying to learn to be an NFL QB with TEs and WRs that are trying to learn too is a recipe for disaster. Imagine if Cam's rookie season was that 2014 offensive squad. Changes everything! I said it when they moved up in 2023. This team wasn't ready for a rookie QB yet. Anyone that thinks Stroud would have been a lot better is delusional. The correct formula is to build a strong team and then you go get your rookie QB. Not the other way around. BY is going into his third season and we're still trying to put a respectable group of WRs and TEs around him. I think they have the right personnel now. Unfortunately they haven't developed into actual NFL players yet.  This season we should expect consistency and aggressiveness from BY. Mostly for his development but also to DEVELOP his young cast.
