If Cam Newton yelled 'get off my f***in field'

Winning cures all.

When you are a 3 time superbowl champion, 2 time leugue MVP and 7 time pro bowler....

You can say and do whatever the fug you want.

Very true...Just like in life, if you are successfull you can get away with more and have priviledges that others don't. Do better, accomplish something, and then you can become part of the club. It's a beautiful thing.

OP has a point, If Cam wouldve did that after the game, the media would have talked about how immature he was... Ryan does it no big deal......

Brady, Manning, Brees, or any other QB that sulks when the team is losing.... No big deal... Cam does it, look how immature he is...

Cam is held to a different standard then most QB's.. I wonder why?

Not replying to just you but rather to anyone who says it's just Cam that this happens to.

Yes this is annoying that there's a double standard and I can't stand that the media works this way, but Cam is not the only QB this happens to. If Jay Cutler had said this, what do you think the media would say about it?

If it was a few years ago and Philip Rivers had said this (although with Rivers it would have been "Get off my gawl-durn field!") what would they say? The media has a tendency to pick up on and make a big deal about minor incidents, then even smaller incidents that happen all the time to every player are overblown by a media who is magnifying that player already.

Mentioned it in one of the threads immediately after the game. But, didn't see anyone else mention it so I thought I was one of the only ones who saw it.

This is why I hate Jimmy Neutron and the Falcons. I despise Jimmy Neutron. I loathe him. The cockiest game manager I have ever seen. He's had things lined up for him so well since he came in the league, I really wish they'd f*ck up and he would be humbled a bit. Silver spoon having, Jimmy Neutron, Ricky Schroder-living motherfuger.

And hilarious how they're "the best team in the NFL" right now by many accounts, yet just last year as Cam was blowing up, their message boards were trashing Dimitroff for even drafting Ryan. I remember reading several of their fans talking about how weak his arm was, lol. I mean he did throw it 60 yards today, but that was one of the ugliest, high-hanging, punt-looking, wounded duck, loaves of bread I have ever seen tossed in an NFL game.

To be on the verge of winning it (if our coach and defense didn't suck balls) and then barely lose it and have him of all people be shown saying that... SMH...

With some rivalries, guys may just hype it up for fans and all that jazz, but it's clear for most of the players on these teams, it's personal in this matchup. Same with the Saints. i can't stand losing to them.

OK, couple of points- Ryan came to a team that was widely predicted to win 1-3 games and went 11-5. He's been covering up deficiencies of the Oline and the D for 4 years. Silver spoon? really?

The people trashing Ryan on the board were trolls- there's 3-4 posters that continually trash Ryan- you may not have recognized them as the same posters because the main offenders get banned and come back under different names repeatedly. The majority of the posters there like Ryan just like the majority here like Cam.

As to the celebration issue,There's a huge difference between a spontaneous display of emotion after a thrilling-last-minute-snatc.h-victory-from-the -jaws-of-defeat comeback than a obviously-choreographed-shake-your-teammates-off-individual-celebration dance when you're still behind.

Ryan pumps his fists or spikes the ball, then celebrates with his teammates after a TD- Newton celebrates alone and draws attention to himself with his poses/dances.

Look at the A-town dance gif- teammates come up to congratulate Cam and he shakes them off so he can do his dance. Looks like one of this teammates shrugs like "F" it and walks off.

Cam has amazing physical gifts but he's got to be a leader to make it as an NFL quarterback. Physical talent alone won't accomplish much in this league.

The Falcons had a QB with amazing talent. His physical gifts were off the chain and expectations were high. He was also a number one pick. He was thought by many to be the savior for the Falcons' franchise. That player? Jeff George.

I am not a Cam fan personally so I try not to discuss him out of respect and my inability to be completely objective and this is his teams boards. I will say however during our game this previous week my only issue with him was the dance when players from his offensive line came up and wanted to celebrate.

if he did the celebrate with players first then a quick solo dance, I couldn’t say much but it was odd not to do that when 10 other men helped you get there and they wanted to be apart of the moment too.

Just my two cents.

As far other QB not getting criticized that’s not true and other poster have proved as much, Cutler, Romo, The Golden Calf of Bristol, Sanchaz can’t seem to do nothing right off the top of my head.

I feel what you are saying, but he consistently praises his O-Line and Teammates. He's not a bad team mate. Just needs to be smarter on when to celebrate.

He honestly reminds me a lot of a cross between Steve Smith in intesity and Philip Rivers in shittalking.

What???? Cutler gets ripped for his attitude more than any other QB or player in the NFL:

Here I googled it for you. Fell free to pick through any of the 482,000 articles bashing Cutler for his piss poor attitude.

https://www.google.c...iw=1097&bih=573

I was talking specifically about King and Werder's recent comments directed at Cam. King's were especially shallow and petty.

And there is a huge difference in Cam's behavior and Cutler's. Cam doesn't shove teammates. He doesn't disrespect his coaches. All he does is act devasted when they lose.

Maybe I misunderstood then....and I agree Cam and Cutler aren't even in the same conversation when it comes to attitudes. I personally don't even see Cam having an "attitude" or "behavior problem", just a few minor growing pains adjusting to life in the NFL that he will overcome. It just kills me when people say that Cam gets picked on by the National media so much more for his "attitude" than anyone else and specifically uses Cutler as an example because that is all they talk about with Cutler.

I am sure you guys saw Matt Ryan yelling 'get off my f***in field' in the diretion of the panthers

If Cam said that, he is immature, not poised, not a good leader, thug...and it'll be an event

f**k the falcons and saints.....i respect the bucs for some reason

/end of rant

You are right. But those who criticize Cam do so not so much because they give a rat's behind what he does, but because his success really bothers their egos.

One of the reasons why Jay Cutler have publically vocalized his dislike for our media.

What's with all this Cam needs to be a leader BS. Is Luck a leader of his team??? NOPE. Was Peyton Manning a Leader of his team when he became the Colts QB when he was in his early 20's? NOPE. This was the NFL QB that was painted as mature right out of college. Amazing that the same folks who are turning everything Cam does into images of immaturity are the same folks who ignored Peyton's well publiczied immature behavior while he was in college and the NFL.

What does a mature QB look like? Is there an age requirement or blue-print out there? I have to laugh when some of you sit and make so much out of Cam's behavior while ignoring the real immature folks on this team simply because the media is harrassing Cam.

You really want folks to take you seriously? Again I ask, what is so immature about Cam? Just because you don't like something someone does not mean them immature.

I mean I'm all for standing up for Newton. I've done so in this thread. But when you make retarded statements like this, you just look.....well.....retarded.

How in the blue fuging hell do you know whether ANYONE on here that is calling Cam immature also ignored "Peytons well publicized" immaturity? You know the answer, I'm sure. You don't, there's no way you could. Quit being a moron.

When was the last time you heard a criticism about The Golden Calf of Bristol? And to what degree?

So, you're upset because Cam did a dance with his team after a TD and that makes him immature in your eyes. Immaturity is not your own personal attitude. Immaturity is Cam not being sensitive to your feels when his team scored a TD.

Boy you folks are become a bunch of you know whats? WTH...Is this football or tennis?

The Golden Calf of Bristol is criticised all the time. His coverage isn't annoying because everyone praises him all the time, opinions in the media are split. What's most annoying is people who think he isn't much good also talk about him constantly, much more than other QBs they don't think are good.

And before you mention that this is just about attitute, yes I have seen The Golden Calf of Bristol's TD celebration criticized, and don't tell me you haven't because it would mean you're either lying or don't actually follow football.

It is indeed football, a team sport. Not tennis.

Immaturity is what Cam is exhibiting. I guarantee that some of the vets in the league do not have "singular" celebrations when their team is down by 3 touchdowns. (Giants game). They also don't shoo away their teammates when they want to celebrate so the can clear the stage for their newest moves.

Just grow up, win some games and all this crap will go away.
