Cam: an option QB

When the hell will Chud and Rivera let this young gifted QB play in a pro style system. Quit the damn options system and let Cam drop back like a normal NFL QB who gets to scan and read the defense.

Even though Vick has taken a step back, Rivera and Chud needs to watch how Andy Reid uses Vick; a normal QB who drops back.

I see that Shanahan is using RGIII almost the exact same way that we're using Cam. Good luck with that options system next year when the other 31 teams have enough game tapes on Griffin. It caught up to Cam and it will too for RGIII.

To me it's less about Cam and more about how our RBs do with it. Dwill has always been a better runner with a head of steam. It allows him to get the defenders back on their heels and he cuts extremely well at full speed. Having him run out of the option is detrimental to HIS game more than it is to Cam's.

Well, I am not the coach but I think the main reason we are running the read option is because teams seem to have a hard time stopping it.

They did last year. Not really this year.

I believe Cam can be a more efficient QB if we uses him like a natural QB.

Remember Vick back in Atl. Defenses had a hard time containing Vick bc he was so deadly coming off play action and bootlegs.

It's taking time away from Cam finding his receivers. Drop him back and let him get rid of the ball in 3 sec. Instead of trying to fake it the whole time.

I have no idea what you're talking about we run pass plays like everyone else. It's just that our recievers don't get open much. Especially Lafell since Steve is usually doubled.

Well if Chuck thinks we should alter of offense I for one am on board...

I'm just saying drop him back like a real nfl QB. Cam has a cannon to sit back there and make the throws. No defense will be able to contain or stop Cam on a play action or bootleg. The man is too good for his coaches to play him in a GT or Army options system.

Dropping Cam back will force defense to back up in coverage creating more rooms for Cam to run.

Tell me if I'm wrong.

That touchdown to Olsen was a typical drop back, still not understanding your point.
