Fuggn "Cory Higgns"

Yeah and I really don't think that the 13th or 14th guy really matters.

Kemba/Sessions/Higgins

Hendo/Gordon/Carroll

MKG/Taylor/Williams

Mullens/Thomas

Haywood/Biyombo/Diop

I don't see much PT for Higgins... although Dunlap did say that he is running an 11 man rotation, but I'd imagine that will be Kemba, Sessions, Hendo, Gordon, MKG, Taylor, Williams, Mullens, Thomas, Haywood, Biyombo with Carroll or Diop likely to occasionally get some burn.

Im not saying Higgins is one of the reason we suck but meaning that that spot could be have for someone else whos better and worth keeping. Instead the President of this team son coincidentally makes this team so he wont be working on the street. Im just tired of these bad decision by Michael and his buddies.

I mean look at the Denver Nuggets. You have George Karl, a very smart HC and one of the best ever in this league and hes not there giving away a spot on his team to his son (Coby Karl) whos been in this league for 4 years now. He could easily give a spot for his son, but being a professional and smart coach, he dont make stupid decision like Michael and Rod Higgins.

Yeah, I mean I agree with ya and all... it's just that a lot of Bobcats fans overreacted about Higgins making the team. It would be nice if we could find a nice hidden gem to fill out the roster instead of the GM's son who has basketball talent, but not NBA talent.

Higgins will not get PT and will not be a reason the Bobcats win or lose. However, the fact that he is on the team goes a long way in explaining why MJ is one of the worst owners in the league. His decision making is terrible. This is just another small example in a long line of reasons why he has epically failed.....Barkley is right.

Really guys, complaining about Cory Higgins? The reason the cats are bad because of missed draft picks and poor long term planning, not because of the scrubs they sign to fill out the roster.

Besides, its not like this team is trying to win a lot of games this year- if we replaced him with someone good, we would have to take pt away from the young guys and probably end up with a worse pick

Lol Cory Higgins isn't a good player at all, but he isn't why the Bobcats suck. He's just one of those guys at the end of the bench that will never really play (every team has 3 of those guys).

Good post.

Every team has 2 or 3 guys who suck, and don't get any play(DNP's on the stat sheet). Higgins isn't the reason we've sucked.

Just another opportunity for posters to take a shot at MJ and the Bobcats organization. MJ hasn't been here long enough to be considered the worst. If MJ is the worst, then the guy we got running the football franchise in Charlotte is god awful.

Yeah Jordan isn't nearly as bad as everyone thinks he is. It's really sad that he is the butt of all bad GM jokes. I don't think that MJ even makes any basketball decisions anymore (and hasn't for a bit now). It's all in Cho's hands I believe. Although I think that MJ was on the MKG bandwagon and we did draft MKG, but he was just as good of a pick as anyone at #2.

    • Um, no, just no. Bills, Chiefs, Chargers, Ravens, Bengals, Texans, Eagles, Commanders are 8 teams that it's not even a debate, they aren't trading their QB for Purdy. Patriots, Broncos, Titans, Giants, Bears, Vikings, Falcons are 7 more teams with QBs drafted in the last 2 years that also would rather stick with them than trade for Purdy as they all have more upside than he does. Lions, Packers, Cowboys, Bucs are 4 more that would likely keep their QB's as well, age aside for Goff, Dak, and Baker. Panthers and Colts are two teams in the same situation, QB's who have both struggled and shown flashes to where the teams probably stick with them because they drafted them, but in a re-draft of all QB's, they probably take Purdy over the guy they currently have. Jags, Cardinals, Dolphins, are 3 more with QB's who probably have a higher upside than Purdy but come with their own question marks, so debatable if they'd take Purdy over who they already have. That leaves Jets, Raiders, Steelers, Browns, Saints, Seahawks, and Rams. Rams would take him over Stafford for the future of course, but not for 2025, and I'd think the Seahawks would take him over Darnold, but honestly not sure if they would take him over Milroe at this moment as they really like his potential and have him for 4 years really cheap. That leaves 5 teams that I see who would absolutely take him over their current situation right now, and a handful of others who MIGHT take him over their current guy, a far cry from your 20.
    • Agreed. Also as soon as they received the top pick in the next draft it was over. Bears won that trade. Gave up a top overall pick got one the next year plus pick 9, a couple 2nds, and DJ Moore a proven young WR. Had their 2024 pick from us be in the late teens or later it would be more debatable IMO.
    • Option A:  Pay your starting QB starting QB money. Option B:  Look for a starting QB for 4-10 years (or longer) while wasting the talent at every other position.    How many of the top 20 QB's do you think are worth what they are being paid?   When you factor in the last year of his present deal his contract is really an average of 45 million per year which in today's QB market is a very, very good deal. I wish we'd had found a Brock Purdy to pay 50+ million a year right after we parted ways with Cam.  Ya'll go ahead and live in fairy tale land where good to great (much less elite) QB's are available to pay. Just the fact that they had the chance to pay Brock after the disaster of trading up for Lance is a testament that when you find a quarter back you can win with, complete in the playoffs and superbowls with, you pay him.
