This goes back to the point I was making a couple of days ago about the way a QB progresses and regresses as they develop in their first 5 years in the NFL.

Like Sanchez, he showed plenty of promise early in his career, yet hit a point in the middle of his fourth year where doubts crept in about how good he could actually become. There was one particularly difficult period in the aftermath of a 41-17 home loss to the Vikings, when Manning threw four interceptions and general manager Jerry Reese used the word "skittish" to describe his behavior in the pocket.

The article also doesn't mention Eli's 8-22 59 yard clunker against a 0-7 Dolphins team and his 18-52 184 yard outing against an average Washington team.

Young QBs go through these things. Give the kid a little bit of a break and let him develop. After all we have already scored 12 offensive TDs in 7 games, only 4 less than we did the entire 2010 season.

He was lighting up the #1 Defense in football Sunday on the road.

A TD rather than the FG we settled for wins the game. He threw 2 passes on that drive. Rivera & Chud got conservative. If they hadnt he would have thrown the game winning TD. The minute we kicked that FG I knew how the game would end.

He will never be able to make a loser head coach and his staff winners that isn't how it works

I've yet to see anyone bail on him, other than trolls trying to make people mad, but I have seen people be critical of him... which some mistake at a "bailing".

There have been multiple threads created by people who have been here for quite awhile insinuating that we should trade him, and that the new GM (whomever that may be) wont want him... So yeah, I'd constitute that as bailing

Tee, anyone who actually knows football will know that QB is the hardest position to learn in all of sports on the pro stage. Cam teased us all with potential in his rookie year, and he's showing signs of being human this year. Soon, he will be one of the greats. There aren't that many QB's who come in and are legit all-pros from the get go. Even Big Ben and Matty Ryan went to the playoffs as a result if the system they were fortunate enough to be drafted in. Young QB's will struggle, and if fans can't embrace that, well that's just them being mentally unable to accept the ebb and flow of professional sports.

Everyone in the media is going to have to swallow some of their boasting about RGIII, because he will go through it as well. Hell, look at Matthew Stafford this year.
