It's him scared of throwing picks so he decides to zip it as hard as he can. This combined with his tendency to throw while still in his drop back, make the passes off the mark. Its hard as a receiver to catch a one or three step slant with the ball comin at you 9999 MPH.

I mean it's safe to say that Cam will never be a surgeon with the football. But he makes enough throws as it is...and he makes up for it with his play making ability and scrambling on 3rd down to extend drives...hes got enough tools to give us a chance to win...Oh ya and he's 6'6 250

i had a similar problem in basketball, I could hit three's all day and make crazy acrobatic layups, but I would miss the wide open bunnies. Its very frustrating. I would miss them becuase I would think about not screwing up. On the hard stuff it was just instinct and I did well. Long story short its Cam thinking too much trying not to screw up the easy stuff. • Does this mean only topics from within the last year or any topics with posts from the last year? i.e. if there are any old threads we feel should be kept around for whatever reasons, would a bump of that thread before the update ensure it's kept around in full or do the posts from more than a year old still disappear?
    • I'm more intrigued at him becoming our future LG. There were some people who thought he was better suited to be a guard in the NFL to begin with.  Then if Freeling ends up being a legit LT, moving Ickey to LG could give us an incredibly strong left side of our OL for years to come. Ickey has only played on the Left side his whole career, both in college and the NFL, so I just wonder if keeping him on the left side, even if shifting inside, would be better than putting him outside on the right side. Just hoping him growing up a Panthers fan will make him want to stay here and move positions than enter FA so he can stay at LT somewhere else, particularly since LT is the big money position on the OL, so he likely can get paid more by someone else to play LT than play LG or RT here for us.
