Sadly, where I am with this team and coaching

I don't really think you need a new coaching staff in here to understand why it was a bad idea to invest 89 million dollars in the RB position. That's what I'm talking about when I say we have a surplus at individual positions. Who on this roster is a #2 WR, or for that matter, a #1 when Smitty is gone? Who on this roster is a franchise LT to protect Cam's blindside? A ball hawking FS to patrol center field and make the QB pay for missed throws. A DT to affect the LOS on every down? We don't have any of those....

Regarding the RB's, yeah, that's obviously an area of concern. And I've not been comfortable with our WR corps since the 2011 camp.

My point is, every team has holes. Good coaching goes a long way to minimizing the impact of the deficiencies. No one on O is playing very well. That's not just from a lack of talent.

I agree every team has some holes, but we have severe holes at numerous positions. Our safeties are without a doubt the worst in the league. Our LT is our highest played player and perhaps the biggest liability on offense outside of Amini, and our WRS can't beat coverage on a pretty regular basis. Those are HUGE problems that no coach is going to change....

...with the exception of Cam and Kuek we've had mostly the same players thru 2 coaches and multiple coordinators...we still stink....ST's is terrible at best and been so for quite some time. its time to part with high dollar players, gross, gamble and sad to say smitty and Dwill... its time to get rid of players that dont contribute, armanti, pickles, adams, pilares, barnigdge just to name a few..we dont have the luxury of having players who dont contribute....we dont have the talent we think we have and its evident...whether its coaching or players....

So basically you're saying you want Cowher then? Sorry I just don't see a retread as being the right move....

I am saying I want a winner.

I don't care who it is.

If it is interpreted as Cowher, so be it.

One thing I know for sure, this team would not look the piece of hammered crap it has looked like the last 4 years.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
