Like I said you'd have to look it up, I don't remember precisely. As I recall he had many violence-related run ins with the law. Believe he held a man at gun point. Was involved in shady stuff, widely believed to be deep into the drug business. His antics on the field (spitting in players faces, many many dirty plays like absolutely leveling a punter on his way out of bounds in the pro bowl, other incidents as well) did not exactly help his character.

When criminals break into houses to steal, they generally don't kill harmless sleeping individuals without a reason to do so. I'm sure he wasn't a truly terrible person, but he definitely enjoyed "thug life" and without a doubt would have been behind bars had he not been a high profile NFL player.

You actually have zero idea what he would or would not have been doing if he wasn't an NFL player, and you don't really have any idea about the type of guy Taylor was. I just read his wikipedia and it didn't make any mention of his status in the drug business. What it did mention was that he was arrested for DUI (a charge he was acquitted of); he also pulled a gun on 3 people he suspected stole ATVs from him (his house was robbed several times, don't know why he didn't install an alarm system). That covers the "many" violence related run-ins he had with the law.

He was shot because he was trying to defend his wife and baby from the people who broke into his house.

But I guess he deserved that death because he was "thug life" as you put it. It's amazing the types of assumptions people make but w/ever.

One thing you guys don't understand on this forum is that people are human beings. People make mistakes each and everyday. I'm not saying what Belcher did was right because it definitely was not. The fact that matter is that he was close friends with people on the team. This was a tragic event that happen and people are grieving the lost.

I didn't get that info from wikipedia. Don't remember exactly where I read most of it, but the hell does it matter anyway? People in the media lie all the time so frankly I don't know what to believe. Had also heard he was asleep when he was killed. If the robbers were attempting to injure his child and wife for literally no reason, then why didn't they after Taylor was killed and unable to defend them?

What would you do if two people you didn't know broke into your house while your wife and child were present? Would you ask them "Hey guys, are you here to just rob me or are you here to rob me AND kill my family?" What exactly would you do?

He was shot in the leg; the shot severed his femoral artery. That's not an injury you take while sleeping in your bed. The accepted theory is that he literally brought a knife to a gun fight because they think he went downstairs with a machete in hand and startled the robbers which caused them to shoot him. This info is freely available on the internet btw.

I totally agree with you. Everyone is someone's friend.

However, show some tact. You can mourn your friend without putting him on a public pedestal. Making him out to be a a terrible tragedy is kinda classless. The only victims of this are the dead girl, her family and the killers family. There is no argument you can have with a girlfriend or wife that warrants killing them

Which parts of the words "if I recall correctly" did not ring a bell correctly? I thought he was asleep, sorry. Frankly I don't care enough to look this information up again. Curious as to why you pull a gun on people for stealing ATVs anyway. First off why does he have a gun? Second, why not just call the police like a normal person? Third, why did he care so much he was loaded?

1) He had a gun because Santa Claus gave him one for Christmas that year. He would have been packing a sack of coal (Santa gave him that the Christmas before) but he burned it all because that winter was an unusually cold one.

2) The police were all busy having an orgy with a 12 foot tall doughnut and a mansized cup of coffee.

3) He cared so much because Chester the Cheetah (known world wide as the face of the Cheetos brand) gave him those ATVs and they were all packed with a 200 year supply of Cheetos. In the coming nuclear apocalypse bags of Cheetos will be used to barter in place of regular money. So in the end, it was all about the benjamins (or Cheetos I guess).

Please just stop. You are about as sad as the criminals who murdered the man in his own home.

The funny thing about Sean Taylor was that when it initially happened the media jumped all over it thinking he had done some unseemly thing to warrant his own death.

When the truth came out they quickly buried the story and moved on...no apologies no nothing. Just like it never happened.

Kinda like when the media fought out that Cam Newton was the only QB selling his autograph this summer...just dropped it and moved on to the next thing they could pin on him...

You people are sad...sad human beings...

1. It is widely known that Sean Taylor was in fact a Jew. Coal makes sense.

2. Did the doughnut have more than one hole? If not I bet it was a Boston Creme by the time they were done with it.

3. Don't trust Chester ever. Those cheetos were rigged to explode.
