Chip Kelly as New Head For The Panthers

Stew rushed for 1,722 yards in his only year with Chip Kelly as OC so I'm pretty sure he would be happy with Chip as HC. And you can't say that a college coach would be horrible. Harbaugh, Carol, and Shiano are doing pretty darn good as head coaches of NFL teams. And you can't say that you would take Ron over any of the three of them with a straight face. I'm all for Chip Kelly being the new coach but I have no reason to believe that JR would hire him. All the reports are that the Eagles are going to make a run at him. He will be an NFL coach next year, I just hope we don't regret not offering him the job here like we do with Harbaugh now.

I don't follow Stanford much, but what has Shaw done after Harbaugh leaving, who's the QB there and has he developed him to mimic Luck at all? I know Luck is a rare specimen but if he has done this twice with different QB's there's something there. I'd jump on the Shaw bandwagon.

Shaw was the OC during Harbaugh's tenure. Shaw was also a QB coach in the NFL. Pretty sure he was apart of the process

He also been coach of the year twice at Stanford

Shaw wasn't the OC. Greg Roman was. Shaw was the WR coach at Stanford for a long time. Geep Chryst was the QB coach who help developed Luck.

The offense that Stanford run is the same version Greg Roman runs. Stanford wasn't put on the map in till Roman got there as OC. That was the year Toby Gerheart was in the Heisman running.

Ok I got you.

- Greg Roman joined the Stanford coaching staff on January 27 after spending the past 13 seasons coaching in the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens, Houston Texans, and Carolina Panthers. He will work with the tight ends and offensive tackles and also serve as the team's running game coordinator in 2009.

What got me was Shaw was Passing game coordinator and Roman was Running game coordinator. They both played a roll in play-calling. Right now if I had to choose between Roman and Shaw I would definitely pick Shaw because he has been a HC for two years.

Seems to me that if you want a proven guy who will be available at the end of this year why not try and get Bruce Arians. Pagano will be back next year for Indy meaning that Arians will go back to assistant or more likely move up to HC for someone else given that he did such a good job with Indy this year.
