Honestly looking at the two side by side, Cam is the better player. He just needs the right coaches and plays and RG3 would be so far behind him it wouldn't be funny. Ultimately Cam will have the better Career. His body will hold up a lot longer.

I think the read option can work for us, but its about how and when it's used. When they do it on 2nd and 10, it often puts us in a 3rd and long situation, and then their D can drop back without worrying about Cam or the RB's running, which is much more of a struggle for Cam at this point. He succeeds when he is a threat to run. The 2nd and 10 read option is becoming like the new Fox draw play on 3rd and long back in the day. It seems like it almost always puts us in a bind on 3rd.

Again, the read option can work, it's about when they implement it. And Cam does need to sell the play action a bit better.

The Redskins have a whole scheme built around the read-option, whereas Chud runs the same vanilla read-option play until we're forced to pass.

Yes you're correct. Been working quite well. But the phrase 'too little too late' comes to mind.

It works a lot better with blocking, an established running game, and Cam quickly making the decision to keep it or not
