Albert Breer: Cam Newton Misunderstood

rarely ever happens. when you have people like Rick Reily going out of his way to lie about Cam then continue it on twitter is when you know the media is stacked against him

This is why i keep encouraging you folks to ignore these ego tripping a-holes in the media

Twenty months into his NFL career, Newton still hasn't quite shaken the perception problem that's dogged him since his days at Auburn.

PLEASE Panther fans, don't let those losers in suits turn your team into a joke by making up ish about your QB or lying on him. As many of you on here would say, don't feed the troll. Maybe it's time to do the same with the trolls in our media. If the best they can do is scrutinize your QB, while ignoring the same actions of their chosen QBS, then maybe it's time for you to wake up and realize you must have someone special for a QB.

The media creates bogus story about some of these players and they never let it go. The hate towards Cam have nothing more to do than what he did for a rival school like Auburn and the fact that everytime they tried to get him to fail, he succeed. Nothing erks ego driven folks more than them wanting someone to fail and they keep succeeding.

Those @ ESPN felt they had a scandal with his father but they didn't and before they let gothe story, they were encouraged to spin it and make it about Cam's father trying to sell him to the highest bidder so they can then turn their wrath against a much rivaled school, Auburn. Especially, since there was no clear evidence of who did what. The case on the surface was a he said/he said without any evidence of payment. There was NO truth to the story that Cam's father tried to sell Cam to the higest bidder. Just like all the other made up ish about Cam it was created by someone at ESPN.

If you want to see where all this hate towards Cam started, simply follow the trail and it would lead right back to ESPN and their sister network NFLN.

The comments section is funny. I think a lot of people have a problem with cam's celebrations but there's definitely a double standard with that. People think he does them when we're getting blown out. He does them when we're still in contention to win the game and it really shows people only look at highlights and make poor judgements based on very little info. I do like the part about where they toned down the run-option crap and it made everything better.

    • I think the qualification has changed over time though. A deep ball play used to take 4 to 6 seconds for the receiver to get to that spot on the field. Now a receiver can be there in 2.5. That's less time than most QBs have to set and throw. In my mind a deep route takes time to develop. A crossing route and a deep route can't take the same amount of time at full speed. You can have 4 deep balls on the same drive,  almost 5 if you do 5 20 yard throws goal line to goal line. That doesn't even make sense when you say it out loud.
    • The sad part is it looks manicured enough that he's aware it's running away from him.  Also, I just wanted to give you some fun loving grief on King Haynes today having a chance to throw a game winning TD, and was wildly errant, and ultimately picked off to end the game.  So happy I won't have to hear anything else about The Golden Calf of Bristol lite ever again watching college football.
    • I just think Panthers believe in Bryce far more than the fans do and he is most likely going to be the QB at least the next two seasons. the real shot of us moving from Bryce is not getting an extension, till then they are going to give him every chance to succeed and I just want to win.
