does playing baseball help qb's throw more accurate?

colin and russel have baseball in their past and some others qbs do... heard some guy on the radio saying that playing baseball as a pitcher helps qb's throw better because they taught to throw to a spot??

From a baseball players point of view, throwing a baseball and throwing a football are 2 completely different motions. But I do think that it could be helpful with being able to pick a spot and throw to that spot, but not so much the actual mechanics/accuracy.

I haven't played baseball but have a bunch of friends that play college and pro ball and they said that it helps with arm strength, but that's about it because the release points and the wind ups are so different.

I pitched in high school though, and I've never been able to really throw a football for crap though. Probably just depends on the person.

former baseball coach here. in practice i would get my pitchers to loosen up by throwing a football. better range of motion and mechanics from doing that. then you coach other parts of pitching later.

If you can throw a good elbow-high, elbow-safe curve ball then yes, baseball helps. All other baseball throwing motions are not conducive to throwing for a QB.
