Sets Rookie passing record and the Colts make the playoffs!

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck surpassed Cam Newton's year-old record for yards passing by a rookie when he had 123 in the first half of Sunday's 20-13 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Luck needed only 74 yards to break the Carolina quarterback's mark of 4,051 yards, and he eclipsed it while leading the Colts to a field goal that gave Indianapolis a 13-3 halftime lead.

The Colts clinched a playoff berth with the victory.

Luck has already led the Colts to victory six times in the fourth quarter, a rookie record for a quarterback. His 20 touchdowns are well off Peyton Manning's record of 26 set in 1998.

Really highlights how pathetic we are. They go from 2-14, with a bad defense and completely collapsed offense, to the playoffs in one season. Why can't we be one of those well-ran franchises everyone envy's.

AFC and especially AFCS aren't the strongest opponents there are.

It starts in the owners box.

I have to hand it to Jimmy Irsay. Last time he went with all proven people in the front office, Polian, then HC in Tony Dungy and had great success. This time, he went for somewhat unproven commodity in Grigson and Pagano/Arians and has had good success so far.

BTW, Bruce Arians is mentioned as a leading candidate for the Philly Eagles HCing job!
