OK, so if no heir to Smitty is in our draft plans, or in the draft at all, then FA is critical

So what's the reason of wasting a pick on a guy that isn't that when you have bigger problems.

Because 14 is a good spot to take him. Julio was taking 6th overall. Patterson being raw drops him to 14. If we dont go wr in the 1st the lafells will be left in the 2nd. Next year wr arent as deep and smith will be 35. Take CP now and give him that year to develop. If it aint star or warmack we can do bpa between dt and ol in the 2nd. I say ol

I don't think it will take that plus I got him coming back for around 3 mill per year.

I don't think his loyalty runs that deep, but it does then great! I'm expecting to draft Eric Fisher and send Gross packing. Dream situation would be having Gross sign up for a major pay cut and kicking him back to the right side and still draft Fisher at LT

Again why the fug would you want a RAW WR that can not help you right away when you have HOLES in so many other spots??

also allen,hunter,williams are all taller

lafell is not bad..just dont see him as a constant deep threat.

ill for the combine for official 40 times. also draft stock can rise and fall.

None of those guys had better numbers or was a better player then Jarret in college. Again how did that workout?

dude compare him to a guy who has never been in the nfl...lol

anyguy can be bust or bang but thats the gm job to scout and limit that in the picks.....lol

i can find 50 guys better than lafell right now in videos but no reason to do that.. panthers just needs to get star wideout to replace smith when he is gone...

If i want a Receiver i go with Keenan Allen, he has been a star since high school and he had a pretty shitty Qb who happened to be his brother throwing him the ball in college and he still put up great numbers. He doesnt have blazing speed but he is fast enough to beat defenses and use other intangibles to produce like White and Marshall.

    • I was assuming Blackshear was gone anyway. Or at least PS.
    • I literally read this 15 minutes ago, but it sums up my feelings perfectly. FYI, the article was about 3 players on the bubble. The author's opinion seems to be Horn is a lock and Renfrow and Moore are fighting for that last spot. David Moore, WR The Panthers' wide receiver room is crowded. There aren't many available spots, at least from the outside looking in. That raises the stakes considerably for those further down the pecking order fighting for recognition. David Moore is among them. The former seventh-round selection is a trusted ally of Dave Canales from three separate NFL stops. He's a solid if not spectacular player, although he underwhelmed when tasked with significant responsibilities during the previous campaign. Moore is battling it out for the sixth wideout spot alongside Hunter Renfrow, Kobe Hudson, and Jacolby George. It could go either way, but Canales' faith and his ability to impact special teams might be enough to get a reprieve."
    • Until LaMelo is traded, this is an unserious organization anyway. There's an insane lack of talent, and the talent all comes with baggage and injury concerns.  I assume the OP was about passing on Ace...but he's exactly the type of prospect doomed to bust here and compound on to the problems with all of his rumored sketchiness.
