SoClutch Mock Draft Wish

Well here goes my first post and first mock.

I know trades are hard to predict but im hoping and wishing in this mock draft while trying to make it realistic as possible. I feel the Rams are going to be active in trading during the draft. they have two 1st round picks and while try to home run on both. i see them willing to trade up to 14 for either warmack or Kenny V. My scenario has us trading the 14th pick for their 22nd 3rd and 4th. i would rather just have a 2nd but i dont think they would do thay. 14pick =1100 , 22nd 78th and 110th =1048.

In free agency im sure gamble will be cut and with Nakumura. other than that i think just reastructures. i feel we will get under the cap enough to be able to sign either a above average FS or DT.

Free Agency: Kenny phillips (Giants) or Henry melton (Bears) and room to sign a quality OG

1. Patterson WR- Would eventually be Smith Replacement. Solid #2 in first year. move lafell to slot

2. Dallas Thomas OG/T-could eventually become starting tackle. Competion for bell or play guard.

3.Kwame Geathers DT- Great DT in the 3rd

4. Tharold Simon CB- led LSU in picks. big corner 6'3

4. Levine Toilolo TE- from stanford 6'7 big body and mobile. good route running. smart.

5. BPA-Depth

6. BPA-kicker

6.BPA-Depth

i feel this kind of draft and free agency could get us to the playoffs next year

It's not bad, but there's no way we sign Melton. I think he's gonna get reasonably big dollars from the Bears. He's a bit better than above average.

I wouldn't be upset with your draft. I'm still not sold on Geathers, but you're not usually gonna find a good DT that low, so he's worth the risk. I like Toilolo if we can get him late-ish. I've had my eye on him for a while.

umm there is no way im feeling good with tharold thee simon lol

dude has height but his cover skills are terrible...he got killed by hopkins.

blidi wreh wright is the best option in the 3...he shut down teddy bridgwater wrs.

His name is Wilson not Wright and he blows. Better corners than him in 3, Leon McFadden, BW Webb, and Hawthorne to name a few. Even Simon is better

There is no way Patterson would supplant LaFell as the #2 in his rookie year. Possibly next year, but he will be a rookie and this is a very complex offense. He is very raw and will need time to develop. He definitley has the talent to eventually become a #1 or at the least a very strong #2, but the idea of him being the 2nd receiver in this offense in his first year over LaFell is a bit of a stretch to say the least. Not saying I'm against the idea of drafting him, I really am not too familiar with many of the prospects this year, but its very unrealistic to think he would be a starter his rookie year, he needs time to develop as do most receivers coming out of college.

how can you say this when your not familiar with prospects this year? why would a first rounder not start his 1st year. is he not better than Murphy??? lafell would be a mismatch and more productive in the slot. other than that all you could do is put smith in the slot and patterson and lafell on the outside

    • I understand why people say things like it could be worse in relation to Tepper but it just doesn't jive for me. Are the optics bad? Yes. Would I want her to be the owner of my team? No. But I mean she's only been owner for a year and the Colts overall are a better run organization. As far as I know they've also never had the distinction of having the worst win percentage in all of professional sports either. Tepper has owned this team for 8 years and about the only thing that has been consistent has been the ability to continue to find different ways to achieve new lows. Even now people are saying things are different yada yada but we said these same things at certain points under Rhule Fitterer and Reich. I'm going to wait to see how the rubber meets the road this upcoming season before I make any strong conclusions about anything in relation to the longevity under this franchise going forward.
    • This is a toughie because I wonder what a guy like Canales thinks about redemption stories for addiction issues. Also, I think this is a case of 1 player getting caught, and not being naive enough to think this isn't more common in college than we think. I'd toss a 3rd rounder out there. 2026 is essentially a redshirt season regardless, so he's not taking over for any NFL QB next year. Best case, he's ready to go in 2027 if we pass on Bryce's extension. Worst case, he's our future backup QB2. Kid has the tools to be an NFL QB. I do think we could somehow land a '26 3rd round pick back in a trade. Our past years' third rounders are: Brazzell Princely Wallace DJ Johnson Matt Corral All this to say, I could see a team like the Jets going w/ a 2nd. They have three FRPs next year.
