Best burger you have ever had

SCP

They had this question yesterday on the drive home sports talk show on 610am. The rules? Eliminate chain restaurants from the equation. Who makes the best burger you have ever had?

Mine? It has to be the Black Bear Diner in Las Vegas. Off the strip hole in the wall. Bob's Big Bear Burger. Unbelievable.

Second to that is probably Pinky's here in Charlotte.

What you got?

i remember those... that was a tasty burger.

i dunno about "best" but my favorites are probably the Spotted Pig in NYC and Cubbies (in the early 90s) in G-ville.

There was a Cubbies in Wilmington when I was growing up. Never tried it. It was over by Katy's Great Eats.

I can't remember the last time I ordered a burger out somewhere but what is the place in the Charlotte airport that is failry new? I think there is one in town also. I heard a national sports analyst talking about it one day and he said that is the only place that rivaled In and Out Burger.

I would love to open an In and Out Out Burger in this area.....would be a gold mine.

I think they opened a Bad Daddy's in the airport? Or is it Smash Burger?

    • I mean I think its a bit disingenuous to call basically anyone here a casual fan. I don't think the casual fan creates a profile then logs into it, in the offseason, to comments on mundane offseason topics.. I dont think anyone on here would be considered a casual fan. That said, I get your point. My POV is from the player. They sign this contract, move their family because of these contracts. When Clowney came him, we basically had a coming home party for him.Ā  So yeah, I get why we did it and I know that ultimately the owner doesnt 'save' money, but I can feel for the human side of the player, which is why I want them to get all they can while they can.Ā
    • My guess is the NBA will either send Flagg back ā€œhomeā€ to the Northeast in Brooklyn or Washington, or San Antonio so that they can keep building around Wemby. If I was a betting man I would take the odds on the Spurs. This definitely feels like a #1 pick that they will rig.
    • In fairness, she is ensuring she is talked about. Ā People really aren’t going out there way to bring her up. Ā It’s some weird poo. Ā She would end up getting talked about given her actions if she was 40. Bill realizing some of these high end ā€œcompanionsā€ got a game of their own. Ā That’s what I don’t think Bill saw coming.
