I saw it today. I personally thought it was extremely disappointing. It sucks because from the trailers I really thought there was no way this movie could be bad. It's pretty much like Spiderman 3 to me.

This movie is either going to be amazing or terrible. After seeing a couple of scenes, we can expect something different, for sure...but will it be GOOD different? The Extremis storyline is one of my favorite in all of comics...but they have to do it right. All of the actors seem pleased with the product, from what I can tell, so maybe it does end up being really good.

Downey Jr's contract is up after this movie, and he's apparently costing the studio a good bit to keep on as it is (he got $50 million for Avengers, plus backend compensation and box office bonuses). From an interview with him, the studio said if they had to replace him, they wouldn't start over from scratch, they'd just "James Bond it" and throw another guy in there. Which is preferable, really. You kinda have to after the success of The Avengers.

(AP) — It had been a while since the Carolina Hurricanes had finished practice, with players coming and going from the locker room. Yet Logan Stankoven was still on the ice, leaving a crowd of reporters patiently waiting at his locker. Such is the dynamic for the 23-year-old as the Eastern Conference's top seed heads into Round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs to face the Philadelphia Flyers. Stankoven has been rolling at nearly a point-per-game pace going back to mid-March, including scoring in every game of Carolina's first-round sweep of Ottawa. Beyond the immediacy of that spotlight, though, is the other piece of Stankoven's story: the Hurricanes are betting he can keep growing into the role as second-line center, coming after spending multiple seasons searching for an answer there.
