Memphis Mock v1

Memphis

So without further chit chat. Here is my fresh Panthers mockdraft of the presses.

Hit me up with your thoughts.

#14 DeAndre Hopkins - WR

Star, Miliner, Rhodes are all gone at this point and we go with a skill position instead. Gettleman and the Giants like to get Wideouts in the first 2 rounds. And if a trade down is not possible, they pick up my highest rated WR. He runs excellent routes, has good hands and decent speed. He will be that #1 WR we have been looking for so long.

#44 Sylvester Williams - DT

Dwan needs a partner in crime on the interior D-line. Enter Williams a high motor guy who is stout against the run and will command double teams and clog up holes in the middle allowing CJ, Hardy, Alexander and our LBs to do their jobs. With Williams in place our front 7 is on paper looking really good.

#110 Terron Armstead - OG / OT

He is a bit of a project from a small school, but he has the most upside of any O-line man in the draft. His first season he will be playing for either the RT / RG position and he could potentially in a couple of years be our bookend LT of the future.

#150 Quanterus Smith - DE

He will need to bulk up a bit to 265, but he was on a rampage until he got hurt this year. He will have time to heal and get accustomed to the NFL while he rotates in on a few snaps. This is probably one of my favourite players in the draft and he could become a monster steal!

#184 Terry Hawthorne - CB

Had a good E/W Shire Game and is physical at the line of scrimmage. He is quite speedy and has great upside.

You say it like its the universal rankings you have access to. Different people have different rankings. I've seen plenty that have him in the 3rd/4th round.

Your friends?? He's pretty widely regarded as a mid second round pick....

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
