My first ever mock draft

Everybody who reads these things know all the players so no big write up for me, Im on my phone. So ill start off with a trade.

Steelers could use Mingo, plus it will screw the Saints

So the Panthers trade pick 14 to the Steelers for picks 17 & 79

Pick 17 - Johnathan Cooper/ Chance Warmack - whichever is available or the coaches prefer

Pick 44 - The best available wr my assumption - Quinton Patton

Pick 79 - Baccari Rambo - safety

Pick 108 - Montori Hughes - big dt is what we need, not richardson at 14

Pick 148 - Steve Williams - cb Cal - Ron homer pick

Pick 182 - Caleb Sturgis - kicker florida

There it is, feel free to rip it apart.

I think this would go out the window if star is available, but if we trade down to 17

The steelers, saints, rams have bigger needs so we may be able to nab star at 17

Then id go best og available at 44 & keep the rest the same

Hughes and star could solidify the dt position for a long time!

    • Damn Logan Jones had a good day too. Was high on him coming in as he anchored that top Iowa line and is a fire plug inside. He's gonna be 25 to start the season so maybe he slips into the 4th but I doubt it, even if C isn't a premium position. His play on the field was top notch and the combine boosted it again. Arm length is about the only knock. But guy is plug and play at C.   This is a loaded class at C. Need to grab one.
    • Bryce will be permanently replaced by a draft pick. There's not another Sam Darnold out there to save us. Tepper is going to see this throw because he dumped Mayfield and Darnold too soon. He's going to give it 1 more year before he will sign off on dumping another 1st round pick qb. Thats the cold hard truth of it. It doesn't mean we can't get younger and much better at the backup position.
    • Maybe I should have used a different word and saved that for me. I want someone that has something impressive about them.  Someone that has potential to supplant a guy who is producing 25th best type of numbers. 22nd, 27th all that bottom third neighborhood.  I don’t know where that will come from it just can’t be from even a 4th round pick this year IMO. Unless FA is crazy productive.    I’ll give Bryce a better than bottom rating for his playoff game. Well above low twenties. But at least half of his games were bottom third level. Probably 2/3 to 3/4 of them were.
