Keenan Allen was red-flagged for a drug test...lolz, not really

If you drink a ton of water to dilute your urine to the point that any drugs are below the threshold for detection, it causes your PH and creatinine levels to be too low which can be red flags.

True, and also drug-test altering substances. Most people kind of know if you have to take a drug test to not drink A BUNCH of water or any liquid. But again, those are just generalizations.

I love Allen, but tony Pauline said on the Mac attack this morning that he heard Allen had work ethic issues.. Take that FWIW and with a grain of salt obviously. But just putting it out there...

Yesterday McShay said Robert Woods had work ethic issues. Whenever I hear a player has work ethic issues I tend to ignore it. Are there guys who are lazy? Of course, my guy Dwayne Jarrett was a great example, but it was pretty well known throughout his three years at SC that he wasn't a hard worker. People thought the money would motivate him to keep having checks come in, but it didn't turn out that way. As someone who follows the Pac very closely I can say I've never heard of Keenan Allen having concerns regarding how hard he works. I'm pretty sure someone in the Cal community would have made mention of that if there was, just like people made numerous mentions of Robert Woods incredible work ethic since the day he stepped on campus....

Yeah ive never heard problems with woods or Allen and their work ethic, heard more of the opposite with them so those reports are strange.. But then again, this time of the year is when all of this BS gets thrown out to the media anyways, probably fed from teams wanting these players to slide down lol.. Who knows?

Also, who in their right mind would think that giving Dwayne Jarrett more money would motivate him to work harder??? Usually that causes the exact opposite to happen..

Point A: I agree, and that's where these reports are coming from, but I also think the people reporting these things should do their due diligence and get all parts of the story not just report what one scout who is trying anything to get a player to fall says.

Point B: Yea I thought it was pretty ridiculous myself....

Complete BS and Schefter was "that guy" and jumped the gun....

The NFL Combine confirmed to ESPN's Adam Schefter that Cal WR Keenan Allen's recent medical re-check was related to a right ankle injury.

Schefter previously noted Allen posted an odd drug test when higher than normal water levels were found in his system. Allen has dealt with a PCL injury since November, but this ankle injury goes back to the Spring of 2012 when the receiver underwent surgery. There's a real chance the Cal product lasts until the middle part of the second day.

    • This is one of my key concerns lost in the sauce that is the neverending conversation about him evading pressure and the OL. Eventually any QB is going to have to step up into the pocket and show the defense they can still beat them even if they get through. We have a limited QB who cannot consistently do this and as such we are relegated to going back and forth about how successful he was at evading pressure but we have little else to write home about. Tyler Shough stepped up into the pocket and made plays despite being pressured and sacked. He's played in about 35 less games than Bryce Young. That is a problem. And isn't just going to go away. The Bucs are going to do the same thing after watching the film.
    • Oh, absolutely! That doesn't absolve the absolute dogshit hockey that the team played in front of him, though. Only Cane that played well tonight was Bradly Nadeau.
    • Thanks for illustrating my point.  No one in the last several pages of this discussion is suggesting we should hang on to him, but anytime someone says anything less than "take him out back and shoot him" you act like they are. That's either you not understanding what you're reading or just being a nimrod because you can't keep up. (I would have said 'or just sh-tposting' but you're way too emotional on this topic for that) Either way, the result is the same 😆
