We need to see Star play before anyone can honestly answer this... but on paper what we have right now looks pretty good.

Peppers and Jenkins were special talents, but I think the aggregate talent level of our current line (on paper) is > the aggregate talent level of the '03 line.

I think CJ is better at everything Rucker did. Hardy hasn't hit his ceiling yet and he is an 11 sack guy already. He's like Peppers light except he has attitude.

Dwan is probably a better pass rusher than Buckner was, but Buckner could play the run. Kris Jenkins was a HOF talent and while I think Star could be a tremendous run stopping NT off the bat I think it's a stretch to say he equals Jenkins. Kris was good at everything.

Across the board though I would not hesitate to take the current line and see what happens. I just like our current DE's that much better.
