not much to the video. if you can't watch it, you aren't missing out on much. this is all i've seen since yesterday about OTAs, tho.

 

basically said the tempo of the offense and defense was fast but still a lot of work to do.

 

offense looks "crisp" and the defense was moving around real fast.

 

he said it was fun watching the rookies go out there and learn.

 

can't wait until july when they get the helpmets on and things really get rolling.

 

he's excited about shula telling the RBs that they're going to be running the ball. apparently they're going to be doing it more. tolbert said shula came into the meeting RB meeting room and said "we gonne run the ball. that's one thing we're gonna do is run the ball."

 

and that's pretty much it.

yea i watched that yesterday. It was telling when he emphasized "i reeeeeealllly am, i can't wait," when he was asked about Shula's emphasis on running the ball.

It's refreshing to hear Shula emphase how they are going to be running the ball.  Sounds like he gets it.

 

It's easy to forget that a few seasons ago Williams and Stewart became the first RB duo in NFL history to rush for 1100+ yds in a single season.  Throw in Cam and Tolbert, and even Barner, there is no reason why the Panthers shouldn't be top 3 in rushing.

 

If we can get the RB's rolling, there is reason to believe we could be absolutely dominant next season.  Picture alternating in Williams and Stewart as they gash the defenses for 4-5 yards every play.  Then roll out a play-action and let Newton do his magic.  Defensive coordinators will be pooing their khakis.
