2003 draft: replay on NBA network

The projections are very interesting from "let Lebron write his legacy before you create it" comments from Tom Tolbert resonate today still.

Jay Bilas saying Darko Milicic would be the number 1 pick in the last 10 drafts if not for Lebron James made me lol as it did on draft day with Detroit taking him over Carmelo Anthony.

Went by Grainy footage of Milicic making hook shots over his neighbor in the driveway was his basic scouting film.

It just shows how far you can miss not taking the most ready to play guy in the draft.

Noel is not ready and like Jason Williams said on a segment..he will have to grow and develop his body over the next 4 or 5 years before he is NBA ready to defend on the block.

Lebron was deflecting Rookie of the Year honors in his post draft interview bc he said individual honors of of no concern to him as he is wants to improve his teamates and team performance.

For Lebron haters: he took that Cavs team with mighty Jamario Moon and Broken down Zudrunas Illgaskas to the finals. He deserves some other new award for that..like broad azz shoudlers of a player we need to appreciate while he is on the earth award.

Painful interview for Milicic as his english is basically me strong..I will break you. Drafting potential will break your franchise.

Carmelo looking mad at everyone but what a steal at 3.

Ok just realized I am doing live play by play from the past but it is an interesting draft none the less.

    • there is one common denominator in the 2003 & 2015 Carolina Panthers teams they both had ELITE top tier Qb play.  it would require a MVP type of season from Bryce Young to have the same type of success that Jake Delhomme had in  2003 & or Cam Newton in 2015 & lead this team to a SuperBowl is this going to happen or is there any reason to believe Bryce Young is capable of playing similar to Jake Delhomme in 2003 or Cam Newton in 2015 ? well no there is no absolutely NO reason whatsoever to believe that this is going to happen in 2026 ..just saying
    • I'd actually like to see Cherelus get a fair shot to win the job in camp. Wallace is decent in drop zone coverage, but he gets abused in the play action game and is often times out of position in the run game. It might just be me, but I swear every time I watch Wallace play, I see multiple plays a game were it looks like he's just trying to be blocked. Watching Cherelus last year he at least looked like he was trying to hit someone on every play. Wallace plays like a LB who doesn't trust what he sees and it makes him passive and cautious versus Cherelus who regardless of if his decision is right or wrong goes at it 100%.
    • Agreed.  Hasn’t happened to me either, but I feel very strongly about it.  That’s not just one of the worst things a woman could do to a man, it’s a power inherent to only women and is one of the worst things a HUMAN being can do to another.  A man can’t “hide” a pregnancy or maternity.  It’s impossible.  And that sucks for anyone that has to go through that. I always got a weird vibe off her and just found her very unlikeable.  Annoying even.  I’ve always been good at reading people and there was just something about her to me that was off-putting, somewhere under the surface.  And here we are…  she is despicable.
