I figured that someone would bring up RGIII but I think it kinda backs up what I said.. RGIII is their get out of jail free card. ~It's not racist because look at RGIII~. RGIII fits the media's mold of a nice QB and Cam doesn't. So therefore Cam has no leadership, is immature, steals laptops, runs a more complex offense than RGIII and Luck but is some how not as good or as intelligent as them.

I've said it before but it bears repeating, it's not so much racism (albeit there's plenty out there for Cam) as it is so many in the media tried to paint Cam as a run first, one year wonder, who would make a few plays with his legs, but would do nothing special with his arm, & should go on a Quinn like slide on draft day. Now, a lot of NFL fans brought into this & basically copy & pasted from the talking heads... Then Cam dickslapped all of them. Did so much of what they said he couldn't & now they hate him for it so they search for a reason to criticize.

On an unrelated note, I get all of my Panthers news from here, so y'all like scour the internet for Panthers related news, or just read a bunch of sports stuff and stumble upon Panthers stuff every once in a while.

If Cam were to achieve season stats like that,(first I'd cum) it would be because we had a favorable schedule and the new OC was a genius and we have the best oline in football along with the best running game as well as world class receivers the whole league should be jealous of coupled with the greatest defense ever to keep Cam afloat. By the way this would all be true because he still isn't captain of the team and he sat beside a towel that he once thought about wiping his head with after his offensive teammates bailed him out with a game winning TD drive. RGKnee and Luck won't have such luxuries. Oh and I think he stole a laptop once and got paid to play in college.

I've been very critical of Cam. what i saw the last half of the season is otherworldly elite qb play. he was awful for a number of reasons including play calling, other players as well as himself, for about the first half of the season. People made a lot of excuses for him when they shouldn't have.

 

what i saw that last half was a glimpse into the future. It was insane. we get a defense and we continue to build around Cam and he continues that level of play, this league will be put on notice. and we will be the most hated team in america.

Technically it's copyright infringement if you post someone's entire work without their permission. Of course people take many liberties on the wild wild West that is the Internet. I agree he is going to be great however I think it would make him a lot more popular if he showed a little more charisma in interviews like rg3 does.

To me rg3 just seems to express himself better, maybe that is a better way to put it. I guess different peoples ways of expressing themselves come across differently to all of us. I Defidently do not want a rg3 or The Golden Calf of Bristol type of our team at all, I do completely agree with you on that point.

There's been a huge misconception of Cam Newton. Cam Newton's season was relatively close to his rookie year.

Rookie year- 4051 yards, 21 TDs, 17 int, 60%, 84.5 qbr, 709 rushing yards & 14 rushing TDs.

Sophomore year- 3869 yards, 19 TDs, 12 int, 57.7%, 86.2 qbr, 741 rushing yards & 8 rushing TDs.

Cam didn't hit a sophomore slump of any kind. He just got lost in all the RG3, Luck, and Wilson hype.

 

The only young QB (under 25) that I'd consider taking over Cam is arguably Luck. Luck seems to have his head on better but Cam seemed to make huge strides towards the end of the season. Saw less moping. And this is coming from an Eagles fan.
