Al Jefferson Signs for 3 years, $40.5 million

He didn't even wait on D12 to sign. Not sure why he did this.

I'm guessing that behind the scenes people probably know which way Howard is leaning, but I'm not sure.

Jefferson gets to play here and make good money for a couple years and if he wants to leave after that there probably won't be other big men in the market (Howard, etc) so he can be the most wanted and get more money on his last big contract.

Even with the addition of Jefferson, you also have to factor in the loss of Mullens. I don't see us winning 30 games next year, and I am fine with that. I think it will improve Kemba and MKG, and have Zeller focus on what he's best at with the P&R

We will have a top 6 pick next year, and who knows what Cho will do come the trade deadline or draft day. There is a lot of time before the 2014 draft.

So step away from the ledge, anybody who is clamoring about being out of the big names

Mullens? LMFAO

This is a good deal for the Bobcats and probably even better deal for Jefferson.

In all likely hood he will be option A on the offensive end. We have weak scorers that will start or play significant minutes which should mean more shots foe Jefferson.

Point being I wouldn't be shocked to see his ppg go up to @22 ppg. In two years he can opt out and possibly have even more value than he does now in free agency with improved statistics.

If his value doesn't rise in two years he still has @14 mill owed to him for a third year. It is a win win for both sides

Glad we got him he will make things so much easier for Kemba.

Seems like a really good move. In Clifford's offense, I assume he's going to put the ball into the paint/post a lot, and have the play move through there. Jefferson will post insane numbers this year, most likely. Could dominate fantasy basketball.

    • Exactly He's played two seasons and started 28 games. He's well beyond the point of being able to point to 2 or 3 games and being able to say, "THAT is the QB he is and will be in the future" Of course he can get there, but anyone trying to use just those couple of games to rank his place amongst the games QB's today and their full career's worth of playing at that level, is just asinine. Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Hurts, Herbert, Daniels, Stafford, Goff, Geno, Purdy, Baker, Love, Dak, Tua, Kyler, Lawrence That's 17 QB's right there that have played better over their careers than Bryce has played at his best.  And I'm not saying they're all studs or guys I'd want to be our QB moving forward, Tua for example I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole, but his body of work is a million times better than Bryce's has been. It's also not including any of the other QB's drafted in 2023/2024 other than Daniels. So again, say you believe in Bryce, say you think he's going to prove he can and should be our QB of the future, that's all fair and totally fine. But nobody can say he's been an above average QB in his career thus far, it's just an asinine notion.
    • I'd think we could get one of those from Dallas for... whatever.
