I enjoyed it but it doesn't really capitalize on the potential of the amazing concept. If you go in knowing that you're going to be seeing a home invasion movie you'll probably like it but if you're expecting to see the outside world in chaos during the purge you'll be disappointed. I didn't regret watching it and I'm actually looking forward to some sequels.

that's exactly why i haven't seen it. at first glance it looked like a cool world-in-chaos type movie but upon further research it looked like another cheesy home-invasion horror movie.

The premise is certainly interesting, but the trailer made it look like a ripoff of "The Strangers".

Havent seen it, but CCS could be on to something. If its a simple home invasion flick then no, but if they were to do the sequel(s) like they did the Hostel movies, that could be kinda cool. Show more of that world, give a different side than the original... It could work...
