I'm not ready to bless the team as a Super Bowl contender just yet, but what is gratifying is that we aren't far off being an annual challenger for the title! When I say this, it's in terms of having a core that is shaping up to build off.

I still say that next draft, we do what it takes to grab Clowney and trade away CJ! Saves a lot of money at the position short term and makes us better. However, infuse a stud LT, another solid CB, and a true #1 WR and we are just as good as any other team in the NFL on paper

OL looked solid.

LB is deep and talented.

DL played very well and had nice depth.

DB play was solid

Cam looked fine

Barner is fast and shifty, but needs to work on not fumbling

No injuries

Although we has 4 turnovers and were a little sloppy, I will take it for pre season ge #1.

Wth? There is some misunderstanding here!

Any of you that Clowney will not be better than CJ need to pull off the homer glasses! CJ is getting older and way too much money tied up in him! The trade ends with CJ and some draft picks

Do you realize what and how much you would have to trade to get to, what will most likely be the 1st pick of the 1st round...???

This is pure fantasy!

I know it would never happen, but it would be some Gettlemajic if so! Either way, people are reading into my little fantasy GM insert

    • I think the qualification has changed over time though. A deep ball play used to take 4 to 6 seconds for the receiver to get to that spot on the field. Now a receiver can be there in 2.5. That's less time than most QBs have to set and throw. In my mind a deep route takes time to develop. A crossing route and a deep route can't take the same amount of time at full speed. You can have 4 deep balls on the same drive,  almost 5 if you do 5 20 yard throws goal line to goal line. That doesn't even make sense when you say it out loud.
    • The sad part is it looks manicured enough that he's aware it's running away from him.  Also, I just wanted to give you some fun loving grief on King Haynes today having a chance to throw a game winning TD, and was wildly errant, and ultimately picked off to end the game.  So happy I won't have to hear anything else about The Golden Calf of Bristol lite ever again watching college football.
    • I just think Panthers believe in Bryce far more than the fans do and he is most likely going to be the QB at least the next two seasons. the real shot of us moving from Bryce is not getting an extension, till then they are going to give him every chance to succeed and I just want to win.
