Ok, found the game. It's on some weird channel called SportSouth. Apparently if you have basic cable, you're poo out of luck when it's on that channel.

TV FAQs:

I live in South Carolina… Why don’t I get every game?
South Carolina is considered the Hurricanes’ “outer market” as designated by the NHL (for those of you interested in the terminology, North Carolina is the team’s “sphere of influence,” and the 50-mile radius around Raleigh is the team’s creatively-named, “50-mile home territory.”) Given that, FOX has the option of how many games they take to the “outer market,” and pays associated fees to the NHL based on that.

For the 2013-14 season, 71 of the 81 games that will be televised by FOX Sports Carolinas and SportSouth will go to South Carolina. The dates of the 10 games that will not go to the “outer market” are: 10/11, 10/13, 11/12, 11/15, 11/18, 1/23, 2/8, 3/7, 4/5 and 4/11.

Why do I see the Hurricanes in Georgia and even parts of Alabama?
Since the Atlanta Thrashers departed for the colder temperatures and the flatter topography of Winnipeg, there is a hole in the NHL’s regional broadcast territory. Since that territory is served by FOX Sports South, the NHL has given the network the right to split the former Thrashers broadcast territory between the Hurricanes and the Nashville Predators.

Thus, 47 of the 81 games televised by FOX Sports Carolinas and SportSouth will go to Georgia and parts of Alabama. The dates of those games are: 10/4, 10/6, 10/10, 10/15, 10/17, 10/19, 10/24, 10/25, 10/28, 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/21, 11/24, 11/29, 12/1, 12/6, 12/9, 12/10, 12/20, 12/29, 12/31, 1/4, 1/7, 1/9, 1/10, 1/13, 1/19, 1/21, 1/24, 1/27, 1/28, 2/4, 2/7, 3/1, 3/2, 3/4, 3/8, 3/13, 3/15, 3/16, 3/22, 3/29, 3/31, 4/1, 4/3, 4/13.

At midnight, sometimes I see the Hurricanes, sometimes I see the Predators. What’s up with that?
That’s right, you do! FOX Sports South shows 2-hour replays of games across the entire FOX Sports South region, and alternates the schedule between the Hurricanes and the Nashville Predators (the Predators’ network, FOX Sports Tennessee, is also part of the larger FOX Sports South region).

Due to L.A.'s physicality, Carolina went with the most physical lineup they had.

Unfortunately, Elias Lindholm probably should have been the extra because he has been in the dressing room longer than he has been on the ice.

That's bull fuging poo! We finally have a whole 4 true centermen and Muller sits him! Fire his ass on the spot! That's how pissed I am.

    • There's really two parts to this question.   1) What does Bryce have to do to prove that he was worthy of the 1st overall pick (and the Panthers trade up to acquire said pick) and be seen as the franchise QB/face of the organization for the foreseeable future?  2) What does Bryce have to do to be a serviceable starter past this season and allow the team to be in a position of not being desperate in their next try at acquiring a franchise QB? I don't think Bryce is capable of ever living up to the expectation of the 1st overall pick and being a franchise QB.  His physical limitations will not allow him to ever be that QB.   He could, however, show enough to be a placeholder.  Not what you want out of this deal but it's better than him being released at the end of the season.  Minimum of 6-8 wins with him showing he can lead the offense (scoring around 17-24 points per game on offense) and make plays when it matters especially as the end of the season nears.  It will also show that Morgan is capable of assembling a competitive roster and Caneles is capable of installing a modern NFL offense.   Then you wait and draft/sign/trade for a franchise QB when the situation is to your best advantage.  This is how the Chiefs got Mahomes, the Eagles got Hurts, the Ravens got Jackson and the Packers got both Rodgers and Love.  Or we luck into it like the Patriots did with Brady and the 49er's did with Purdy.
    • The only reason---which is a significant reason---that Penny is not miles (no pun intended) ahead of Sanders is due to health. Availability is the best ability in this case. When Penny is able to play, he has been the better back. His career averages in both running and receiving are markedly better, and Miles has arguably been playing behind a better line.
    • That being said, when was the last time you saw Freddie spending more time sprawled on the ice versus keeping his feet? Playoff Freddie is not the same goalie who played exceptionally well since coming back from his medical issue. We're seeing someone other than regular season Freddie and I'm not impressed, especially the last 3-4 games.
