Im not quite sold on the idea we need a offensive mind for our next HC.

There are thousand candidates out there that you could name off as potential.

We gotta have someone who can adjust.  You have to have those in game adjustments.   Rivera and Company so far haven't done it.

Just look at the Arizona game.  We have a lead at half time and then turn around a do nothing in the second half while Arizona made the adjustments and owned us in the second half.

That was one thing I liked about Fox,  I thought he made good half time adjustments (for the most part).  Rivera sucks at it.  With very little to NO changes.

I think we need someone with a flexible offensive philosophy.  If we get someone with a my way or the highway mentality, and an offensive philosophy that is incompatible with our qb, then he will likely be another 3 year and out guy.

That's it in a nutshell for me. Defensive HCs tend to be more conservative, by the numbers type leaders. Offensive gurus are chance takers that think outside of the box - on both sides of the ball.

If I had an established team that just needed to get over the hump with discipline and sound judgement, I'd go defensive. With a team like Carolina, that needs to figure out who they are and establish their identity, I'd go offensive.

But, of course, you could find exceptions.
