Dolphins suspend Richie Incognito

Here is an FYI, not all bullies are mean folks that everyone is afraid of. Some if not many, are usally quite liked by their peers who themselves may be bullies. Someone like Richie may be the kind of bully who is more than eager to do the will of others so he can win the approval of his peers in the Dolphine's locker room. Remember bullies are nothing more than cowards themselves, who take their issues out on those others see as weak. This story is beginning to sound that way.

Those on the Dolphine team who are coming the this kid Richie defense, need to stop playing with folks intelligences. They seriously want the public to believe that his racist rant is the first time they ever heard him use the "N" word? I'm not surprised they would all be laughing and acting like there is nothing wrong with the  racist filth this kid was spewing on the black kid's voice mail. After all, this is Florida and I will leave it at that. But to say it was their first time hearing this guy ever show such a racist side?? Oh please....give me a damn break. Also, why were they having him treat this Martin kid like a Rookie when he wasn't a rookie. Martin was in his second year, so why was the team encouraging this Richie guy to treat him like one?

As stated above, this Richie kid is beginning to sound like a kid who was/is quick to please those around him and was rewarded for his "obedience." I wouldn't be surprised if those defending him, who all just happen to be white, are the ones who encouraged him to bully Martin and now feel the need to defend and protect him.

Something tells me there is way more to this story and it reeks of racism in that Dolphine's lockerroom. I believe those in the media, who are trying to drive the defense of this Richie kid, are aware of the racial side to this story and is doing their part to spin it away, while painting Richie as the victim and Martin as the coward.

Something smells in Dolphine land.

I don't think it's racism so much as many player simple don't see this kind of behavior as wrong.

When I was teaching at FAMU, the Kappas had an incident where they beat a pledge so hard with a cane that he had to have upwards of 25 stitches. The reaction from many greeks? "He shouldn't have gone public. He mentioned quitting, the brothers overheard it, he then decided not to quit. He got the punishment for showing weakness" (I went off on those kids so hard I thought I was going to get fired.)

My wife went to UVM. Their hockey team had to cancel their season because upperclassmen forced them to drink warm beer til they puked, do shots by passing said shot mouth to mouth, strip naked & march around holding each others' dicks, etc... They also felt that the guy who filed suit against them shouldn't have gone public & was just mad when he found out he didn't have what it takes to make an elite hockey team.

When I was teaching at FSU, Sigma Phi Epsilon covered a bunch of pledges in raw egg, stink bait, stuffed in a crawlspace with no heat in their underwear, in 37 degree weather. Again, they felt they had done nothing wrong. "I had to do it 2 years ago! It makes a tougher brother & a better man!"

All of this poo is worse than (what we know so far ) happened to Martin. Yet these morons think it was ok. Its an ugly side of alpha male culture.

hey look, you just summed up american political discourse!

Some elements of it perhaps. Of course if he had added in, "making judgments without knowing all the facts of the case", he would have nailed it. In this particular case, we know almost nothing about the history of the case. But the fact that incognito's teammates are defending him most strongly should at least cause us to pause and wonder if everything is at it seems on the surface.

    • As I've said numerous times the last few days, having Thielen on the field has literally 0% to do with my views on this (I've even said I think Renfrow is going to take a ton of snaps from Thielen anyways).  He has more value to this team without playing a single snap than a 2026 5th round draft pick does for the franchise.   His value is helping set up T-Mac, XL, Coker, and Horn for long term success by helping them learn how to be pros, how to go about their business, how to train, how to do all the little things that helped turn Thielen from a D2 undrafted player into a borderline Vikings legend.
    • He only wants to be traded because it's the Vikings who are calling. If he didn't want to be here, he could have retired, instead he took a pay raise to come back for another season.  I get it, it's an opportunity that he'd like to take, but we shouldn't cut off our nose to spite our face because he now wants to jump at this opportunity less than two weeks before the season starts. I'm not against trading him, I'm just against trading him for a return that doesn't help our team as much as having him on the roster would.  I'll put it this way, if a 5th is the best we can get for him from the Vikings and he's now dug in on not wanting to stay this year, I'm saying screw you and trading him to any of the other 30 teams besides the Vikings for the best offer we can get. He was perfectly happy here a week ago, if the Vikings soured him on that and then want to get him for peanuts, then screw them both.
    • Yes and no, he wants to go back and his wife most definitely wants to go back. He took a bunch of team mates to Minny and has worked out with JJ two offseasons in a row. It's where both him and his wife are from.    The money was basically a please come back and help Bryce. Pretty please...here's some more money.    Now he's agreed to a paycut to go back to the Vikings.
