so far through season 1 and can't believe there isn't a thread already...  so much to say, but will find it hard to believe the first episode of season one doesn't instantly grab you.  Especially anyone who actually suffers through watching the news..

If this is your first foray in The Newsroom, I think you'll thoroughly enjoy it. I think it's probably one of the most cerebral shows out there right now. Another Aaron Sorkin (Moneyball, A Few Good Men, Social Network, West Wing) hit.

I've seen the all 19 episodes more than once and the first is easily one of the best single episodes of television I've ever seen. "Election Night: Part II" is the last episode to date and it may be the second best episode of the series.

Bleys, you won't be disappointed- this is one of those series I could easily binge watch over a weekend.

I love the show, one of my favorite on TV.  I have seen season one probably ten times, season two at least three times.  The first episode has to be one of the best pilots I have ever seen.  Don Keefer is definitely my favorite character.

I'm partial to Sloan Sabbith (Olivia Munn) because 1) she's hot and 2) for all of her economic smarts, book intelligence and professional presence, the personal side of her life reveals a pretty vulnerable and, at time, naive women. Makes for an interesting dichotomy.

The writers need to fix the Maggie Jordan (Allison Pill) storyline and move on already. This began wearing on me last season as her neuroses continued to digress into almost childish behavior.

maggie is so typical though.. lol  It's annoying to watch because I get to watch average people every day make the same bad decision over and over..  I'm still watching the start of season 2 so maybe they'll move past this but it sounds like I'll have to put up with it.

Great thing is the rest of the show can carry that story.

I'm a huge Olivia Munn fan (who isn't?) so I'm glad to hear her character gets more attention in season 2.

Waiting to watch anything past episode 5 in season 2 so while I'm visiting the parents I can get my father hooked and still have something new to watch..

Too bad this show isn't real life.  I'd actually suffer through the news.  Although I doubt it happens it would be awesome to watch someone separate themselves from the hot garbage and just tell it straight.  One can dream though..

Sloan and Will are my next two after Don.

Charlie, Mac and Jim are my next tier.

I do not like Maggie, but I also am not a fan of Neal.

    • Exactly He's played two seasons and started 28 games. He's well beyond the point of being able to point to 2 or 3 games and being able to say, "THAT is the QB he is and will be in the future" Of course he can get there, but anyone trying to use just those couple of games to rank his place amongst the games QB's today and their full career's worth of playing at that level, is just asinine. Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Hurts, Herbert, Daniels, Stafford, Goff, Geno, Purdy, Baker, Love, Dak, Tua, Kyler, Lawrence That's 17 QB's right there that have played better over their careers than Bryce has played at his best.  And I'm not saying they're all studs or guys I'd want to be our QB moving forward, Tua for example I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole, but his body of work is a million times better than Bryce's has been. It's also not including any of the other QB's drafted in 2023/2024 other than Daniels. So again, say you believe in Bryce, say you think he's going to prove he can and should be our QB of the future, that's all fair and totally fine. But nobody can say he's been an above average QB in his career thus far, it's just an asinine notion.
    • I'd think we could get one of those from Dallas for... whatever.
