panthers fans in Houston, TX

I see Woodlands, I see Galleria, I see Galveston, and Downtown Houston right here--well, for one more month, then it's on to Australia. I moved to Texas the same season we went to the Super Bowl and got to go to the NFL Experience. Still have the #30 Mike Minter jersey with the XXXVIII shields on the sleeves. Actually have a memorabilia case with the Super Bowl program, ticket stub from the NFL Experience, the official Super Bowl poster, and the clippings from the Chronicle leading up to the game.

Cam has the Panther awareness up a lot in Houston, at least in my observation. I'm sure it helps that Blinn is only an hour down the road. Then again, it may just be that everyone around me knows I'm a Panther fan.

I'm hoping to get a ticket to the game on the 18th. Otherwise, I'll be sporting my OTHER jersey--blue, custom, #1. And I will be planning an annual trip to Charlotte from Australia to see a game, and will be there for all the upcoming Super Bowls.

My wife and I moved to Spring in 2005 from Charlotte. I have seen one truck with Panther stickers, but other than that the only fans I've seen went to highschool with Mike Goodson. I wear my Panther's hat/tshirts every weekend. They know me well @Krogers.

I'll be at the game on the 18th, row F directly behind the visitors bench. I actually have been thinking to dress as Clark Kent and have a Cam's #1 tshirt underneath. Or I can just wear my Steve Smith jersey. decisions, decisions.

This reminds me that I need to buy a parking pass.

Representing Austin here.

We are driving in that morning. I don't know where our parking lot will be. Last time (2003) we parked with the limos! Not much tailgating going on there.

The real question is, should I wear my Delhomme jersey and make the natives wonder which side I'm pulling for?

Did anybody here go to the Panther/Oiler game? Carolina fans easily out numbered Houston fans 2-1.

    • Also, you don't really get good value by drafting a center in the first.
    • First off, we haven't been ignoring the defense. We have drafted several defensive players, but, perhaps more importantly, we have added good pieces in free agency. Secondly, the offense was still kinda bad (27th or so depending where you look at). You can't just say we can't pick an offensive guy while acknowledging that the offense wasn't good. Everything is on the table. Like I said above, it seems kind of counterproductive to say that we shouldn't draft an offensive player high unless they're at certain positions. The offense was mediocre at best. Sure, we had an uncanny knack to win some close games at opportune times, but the offense wasn't really good. To me, it makes little sense to put limitations on who/what we should draft when we need an upgrade at so many positions. What you look at is trying to get the best value--bang for your buck so to speak--and that's the way it should be. D-Mo has used FA to set up the draft in order not to be pigeonholed into anything, and that's the way that it should be.
    • Hubert has plenty of money. I don't hate the guy. I think he a legit good guy. This is Ron Rivera all over again for me. It's just very obvious a coaching change is needed and it audka we gottaboart ways with a good guy and I'd much rather it work out but the same issues appearing again and again year after year are clearly shouting what needs to happen. With that said, if we hire Todd Golden, that's it. I'm out. I'd greatly prefer to just keep getting disappointed by Hubert. I can at least stand to root for that.
