Richard Sherman ranks Cam as the 7th smartest QB

Sherman is a smart player. Great guy to have on the team.

 

I think everyone can agree who has the most POTENTIAL of any young qb and thats Cam. He has all the tools. Not knocking any other young QBs but I would say when Cam got here he had the worst team around him compared to others.. Now the times are changing and Im so glad Panthers stood with him, I always will. Him Russel & Luck have the best years coming. 

 

Cam still is the least cared about QB in the NFL with so much talent. But many of those who have been following the shinangan that is created around him knows why many will pretend that he's more of this team's problem than the team itself.

Best arm: Andrew Luck...?

 

IIRC, arm strength was the one semi-knock on Luck coming out of college.

 

It seems when it comes to Luck, folks have very short term memories.

Maybe he doesn't mean arm strength alone. Spiral, velocity, precision. These may all factor into his decision.

 

Has he actually watched Luck play? I am amazed how this kid gets such a easy pass on his throws. I guess Sherman isn't being as anal with Luck as folks are with Cam.

Even tho Sherman acts like an asshole on the field, he's a pretty legit man. Seen a lot of him outside of football helping the community and people in needs. The dude may be from Compton but is a very smart man. Being from Stanford says it all too.

Sherman played with Luck at Stanford for 2 years.

Agreed being able to make ALL the throws and with touch so the WRs can make a play after the catch is invaluable.

Cam still needs work on fade throws and he misses open seam passes way too often..his Arm strength is A++ Cam offers a lot of other intangibles that despite similar combine 40 times, Luck is incapable of duplicating.

 

Cam needs  receivers who will work their asses off to catch his balls like they do for the so called "elite' QBs.. And while you're at it, throw in some consistent RBs. 

 

Only folks who seriously want to feel a sense of superiority over someone would sit and over emphasize what he person is doing and endlessly trying to use it as an attempt to elevate oneself over the individual. FYI, Everything you're saying Cam need to fix every QB does and quite frequently. The only thing that separates Cam from the so called "Elite" QBs is no one is demanding the Panthers' Offense step their game up to cover up his flaws like the chosen Ones, such as Luck, Matthew, Stafford, and even Drew and Peyton. Instead, it's all EYES on Cam.

Whoever doesnt think that Luck has a damn good arm must still be shitting their pants about missing out on him.

 

Other than Rodgers, Luck makes some of the most beautiful throws I've ever seen. Yes, better than Brady, Brees, and Manning.

Not sure what your point is. I will definitely say that they both benefited from practicing against each other and having a former pro quarterback as your coach.

I believe I was the one who stated that Luck would have never allowed himself to play on a team like the Panthers. It's clear neither the team nor fans would have done anything to promote his image well seeing how much you folks believe the QB and coaches should always be the team's scape-goats. But i do believe with the media hype and the fact that he's "traditional," QB those who hate Cam just might have treated Luck slighter better him, but not by much. I honestly doubt the endless scrutiny surrounding Cam would be the same with Luck but he would be criticized. Many of you on here are extremely cynical.
