I'm Still Proud Of This Team

You can't front all you want like you knew we was going to be in this position, but you didn't. I didn't.

Few things

1. We're now 0-4 after a bye under Rivera which is concerning. That and playing a team we already beat concerned me first

2. Offense we knew would be the biggest factor in winning or losing this game. Same redzone issues, same lethargic offense coming out of half-time like there's no sense of urgency. Draft time is about offense. We knew our offense performs better in no huddle offense or with Cam in more control, how come your OC doesn't see that? New OC time

3. CB is third. Needs to be upgraded as well

4. Yeah the refs threw us off our game, but its a learning process

Re sign Ginn and LaFell first thing. Vital to our offense. FIRE Shula.

Smitty shouldn't have been in the field after the first series in the second half. Put a healthy WR out there. He's a warrior, but still

Get better in FA and the draft. This still hurts though.

I agree we have a lot to be proud of.

We weren't supposed to be 12-4. We got there with little talent on the o-line and at WR. Even still if wasnt for the refs cheating us out of the game we would have won this game.

SF will blown out in Seattle.

    • I probably would have become a casual Hornets fan if Cooper ended up there, but the NBA just solidified my apathy for its product. Hornets also got shafted when Lakers got cold feet on the Mark Williams trade. NBA is corrupt and that alien-headed Silver is the kingpin.
    • Most analysts from what I've seen are projecting next year's cap as closer to $298M. We saw a $24M increase this season, $31M increase last season, and $16M prior to that. There's also the inevitable cap casualties... A'Shawn Robinson being cut saves the team $8.5M. Damien Lewis would save $9M. BB3, Jewell, PJ2 all would save $5M each. Tremble and Mike Jackson could save $4M each. It wouldn't surprise me to see the team make a few moves that end up giving them closer to $50M in cap space to start 2026. I'm less worried about next year's cap space due to the upcoming UFAs for the team: TMo, AT, Tuttle, Wonnum, Nijman, Mays, Corbett, BC, Dowdle, Rozeboom, Martin, Rhattigan, Jansen, Scott... the only FAs I'm seeing on Spotrac outside of TMo that are must keeps are ERFAs Coker + Demani (so long as TMo's knee is fine, of course). 2027 on the other hand is going to be the offseason for Bryce's bonus option with Icky being the most significant UFA. PJ2, A'Shawn, Josey, MJackson, Tremble, Dalton, DJ Johnson, Zavala, and Bartholomew are the only other current FAs then. I'm of the opinion that they are all in on next season and if it doesn't go well, it's being blown up and starting from scratch. They're currently estimated to have $130M in free cap space in 2027.
