Fudge it....Trade up for Sammy watkins.

Won't matter if we have Sammy Watkins and then a Calvin Johnson lined up opposite sides him with Steve Smith in the slot if our philosophy is going to be to throw it 20 times a game (mostly only in throwing downs) and pound the ball. We need to evolve with our philosophy on offense to take the next step. Newton is more than ready and could put up huge numbers if they let him. It's time to stop managing the guy through games and score as many as we can.

Watkins isnt overly big or physical... hes a kick returner/ weapon

it takes more than a 40 time to be a stud #1 WR

id consider him if he fell to our pick... but trade up for him? no chance

Watkins is simply a better football player than Ginn was/is. He runs great routes and has hands....to go with his speed.

I know  this will get flamed but i would not hate the idea. The guy is the best wideout to come out since AJ Green/Julio Jones. The guy does everything atleast average to above average. He high points the ball he's strong and could run as fast as 4.33(rumored). The guy is ripped for 205-210 receiver, and run over defenders. This guy is a weapon and would also be our new KR allowing ted to work on his wr skills.Every team in our division has a true number one and i'm exspecting Smitty to look even worse than this year. He is worth a top 5 pick and if he slips outside of that range I would not mind a move ala falcons a few seasons ago. Instant offense. I know we have needs everywhere but true bluechip players like this don't come out every year.  I can't watch another season of pray someone gets open for cam.

I'll take Kelvin Benjamin. He'll be there when we pick. He's Calvin Johnson 2.0. We need someone tall as poo that can grab Cam's high passes. Dude is beast.

Would love for it to happen but the browns pick twice before we pick and there second pick is at 26 which is the Benjamin sweet spot.

Dennard was basically one of the centerpieces to Michigan State's top-rated defense (Top 15-20 pick) and Fuller is a V-Tech product that has size, physicality and speed.

Either one fits in our zone scheme but I personally prefer Fuller. He bullied Alabama's receivers (especially Amari Cooper).

I was talking about Free Agent CBs

Someone need's a swift kick in the buns if we draft anything on defense in the "first round". Cam would not resign and i wouldn't blame him.

    • As I've said numerous times the last few days, having Thielen on the field has literally 0% to do with my views on this (I've even said I think Renfrow is going to take a ton of snaps from Thielen anyways).  He has more value to this team without playing a single snap than a 2026 5th round draft pick does for the franchise.   His value is helping set up T-Mac, XL, Coker, and Horn for long term success by helping them learn how to be pros, how to go about their business, how to train, how to do all the little things that helped turn Thielen from a D2 undrafted player into a borderline Vikings legend.
    • He only wants to be traded because it's the Vikings who are calling. If he didn't want to be here, he could have retired, instead he took a pay raise to come back for another season.  I get it, it's an opportunity that he'd like to take, but we shouldn't cut off our nose to spite our face because he now wants to jump at this opportunity less than two weeks before the season starts. I'm not against trading him, I'm just against trading him for a return that doesn't help our team as much as having him on the roster would.  I'll put it this way, if a 5th is the best we can get for him from the Vikings and he's now dug in on not wanting to stay this year, I'm saying screw you and trading him to any of the other 30 teams besides the Vikings for the best offer we can get. He was perfectly happy here a week ago, if the Vikings soured him on that and then want to get him for peanuts, then screw them both.
    • Yes and no, he wants to go back and his wife most definitely wants to go back. He took a bunch of team mates to Minny and has worked out with JJ two offseasons in a row. It's where both him and his wife are from.    The money was basically a please come back and help Bryce. Pretty please...here's some more money.    Now he's agreed to a paycut to go back to the Vikings.
