Schedule

Off OP's topic but a way to salvage this maybe...

The most daunting aspect of the schedule (to me) is not the overall strength of opponents but the home/away/bye combination of the first month. For our home fans who pile in on the 13th to watch what could be a very good game (and quite tough) there is a month layoff before returning to the "Bank".

Following that game are two road games and a bye week.

Washington, a full month after Carolina plays its first game MAY be too late for some of our fair-weather fans if the Panthers stumble out of the gate. Not to take a pessimistic view but we could easily be 0-3 going into the bye ( I personally think we get two of those at a minimum).

Does anyone else see the potential for the wind to be taken out of the sails or our home crowd if this happens in conjunction with the weird schedule?

I really hate the way it works out...especially the bye placement for what looks to be a very tough schedule.

My God, you will take every opportunity to turn a thread into either a "I Hate jake", or "Our Schedule is Too Tough" thread.

You have made your opinion known the last 1,000 posts you have made on this topic.

Move along.

actually I don't think I have ever commented on the schedule but whatever...

and this post has absolutely nothing to do with the schedule being too tough.

thanks a lot for your opinion

    • My take on Darnold was always that he was fine with a good offensive line but would wilt under pressure with a poor line (Jets and Panthers). Seattle began the year w/ a pretty bad oline and they improved somewhat but Darnold is showing he is a pretty good qb. Imagine what the Panthers would be today with Darnold and without Bryce Young and all the wasted draft picks to get him.
    • Similar situation but that would be a better version than what we currently have. Sam isn't a franchise QB but he is a good bridge guy. Either Seatle finds a young guy to groom or they have hit their ceiling. They 100% can't put it on Sam's shoulders and expect to win but the team needs to carry less with him at QB to win vs what this team has to do with Bryce.
    • to me the post would suggest Sam Darnold was good last night because Seattle won in a wild game.   Which is what we do with Bryce Young.   Sam Darnold didn't play well last night.  Which is how he trends, goes to a new team.....looks okay and becomes classic Sam Darnold down the stretch.  Last 6 or 7 weeks old bad Sam is coming out a lot (and then a weird Atlanta game mixed in lol).
