Giants letting Nicks walk!

I want Nicks and it makes a ton of sense for him and us. If we pay him, he'll choose us. I have that feeling about it...

That being said, if you think he's signing anywhere for 1 year and/or $3 million, you are out of your mind. I'm guessing it will take a minimum of 6 million a year on a multi-year deal.

If Nicks is expecting a huge deal after the season he's had, he'll have to go elsewhere. We can't fit 6 million per in our budget. Of course, I seriously doubt any team would pay him that kind of money in the first place, unless it's short on bonus money so he can be cut with little impact.

That said, I'd love to have him. A taller, sure-handed receiver opposite Smith is exactly what we need to get the most out of Cam.

I don't know about that. Every year there is at least one or two teams desperate for a receiver. He will have options.

But with the way Nicks performed and acted this past season, I just think that it'll be hard for him to earn a long term contract anywhere. Same for Maclin (injury). Both of them has no leverage in their contract talk this off season. Maclin has already express his feeling on the situation that he knows he'll likely be taking on a one year deal to prove his worth. You can add Kenny Britt name to the list too.

The teams that are desperate for a receiver will go after a James Jones, Riley Cooper, Eric Decker, or Golden Tate.

Riley Cooper, lol yeah right.

Nicks still put up over 1,000 yards. He's going to get looks. I just hope we stay away.
