this will sound odd(and i realize that most of what i post sounds odd) but just focus on land A job and not THE job.

get your foot in door, start bring in some dinero and start networking from there.

another route to go is volunteer as much as you can to build up your network for a shot at a good job. play pick up hoops once a week. stay fit AND yet another great way to network.

oh and clean up your social media life a little if you need to. active on social media but not polarizing is a plus to the young recruiters.

Good call on the social media Pstall. This is huge, especially with recent grads! Before I hire someone, I google them.

You would be amazed what some peoples name will turn up. Make your twitter, face book, and whatever else set to private.

Would you hire me if I change my username on here to Victorious Erection?

I've had 4 very solid internships that are listed on my current most generic resume. I have only been applying for jobs that are entry to mid level and I make sure that I first meet their basic list of qualifications. Also, I'm having trouble gauging what to ask for in terms of salary requirements. I now have a master of science degree and asked a high level executive friend of my fathers for his advice and he said 70k/year which seemed high so I've been saying 60k on most of my applications thus far. My Facebook and Twitter accounts are both private and cleaned up and my linkedin profile is all up to date as well.
