At Least.........

I agree with everything u just said. I would like us to concentrate on defense though. Especially after seeing what I saw last night. I do agree that a weapon on offense can also help.

And also I was mainly just disagreeing with going all defense this draft. We obviously need to address secondary in the draft, but with the depth at WR we absolutely need to get at least one in the 1st or 2nd round. I'd personally prefer one in each depending who's available, but I'd settle with just one in the 2nd depending on who we got in the 1st..

I don't think it had anything to do with manning,he didn't do as many adjustment as usual and they didn't attack the seahawks like they should have which is running the ball. After it became 22-0 it was draw, screen, curl, crossing route into field goal range only to turn the ball over this is all on the OC seen them play similar when they played the Patriots in the Reg. Season.

bottom line, i'm not saying we should copy the seahawks but for our team i fell like if we add a good wr like Evans,Matthews,Robinson,Lee, or Moncrief got a ball hawking db in the secondary, and sure up some guys in the oline we'd be set for years...........possible this all can be done without letting Hardy walk(under the right circumstances)

Seahawks ran a offense Shula would have called, the difference is they have better execution, Better blocking and Receivers getting open and making plays

I disagree, we need some help on the oline. Sometimes the pocket was clean but a lot of times the pocket was compromised. The receivers need time to get open and the running backs need holes to run through.

Receivers and cb's can be pick we d up in later rounds. Stud linemen come in the earlier rounds. Imo

Respectfully, I completely disagree. I think we need to tag Hardy and keep all our Def FA's and we'll have essentially the same defense just with more experience and learning. (we can address secondary in the draft too, just not 1st round, and maybe not even 2nd) The offense with 1 or 2 more receivers (1st and 2nd round picks, or 1 FA and 1st round pick) would increase in points/game by at least 10-14. Our defense was good enough every game last season (except Saints in the dome, and Buffalo) but our offense couldn't pull it off. We need Kelvin Benjamin for our Red Zone O. If we had him against the Niners in the playoffs, we would've won.

Our OC isn't the Broncos, for the guys who don't like Shula at least he's not calling Draw Play,Screen,Draw Play Screen.................then Play Action Draw, Screen Fake Draw.......that dude sucks, that's the definition of a bad OC,and seahawks pretty much ran a offense we would run goes to show were not that far off........

Manning had the greatest passing season in the history of the game.....

OC didn't totally suck. If the OL can't hold up any O will implode

I can't start threads yet, but I'd say that the way we are built is very similar to the Seahawks. In saying that, I think that we have all of the offensive weapons necessary to do exactly what the SeaHawks just did to Denver.

This won't be popular, but if we went all defense again in the draft, I can't say that I would be mad at all. Russell Wilson didn't win them that SuperBowl, the Defense did. We don't need to draft a WR high in the draft, we need to concentrate on continuing to build our already stout defense. Our offense has the weapons to get us to the SuperBowl much like Seattles.

It's a shame that we couldn't get it done this year, but it took Pete Carroll 4 years to get there and win it. With all of the similarities in our team, I think we can replicate that success and win it all next year. Get us some more depth in that secondary and at LBer. If we franchise the Kracken, and somebody wants him, then we'll get compensated and can draft his replacement. Hate to see him go, but we have 2 other huge contracts coming. We should lock up Cam and Luke this offseason, and lock them in long term. Luke has outplayed his rookie contract and it's the right thing to do for the NFL defensive MVP.

I have faith in this staff, and the FO to draft well, and sign the necessary FA's that we'll need to build upon what we did last year. The NFC is built so much stronger than the AFC is. All we have to do is get passed SF and Seattle in my opinion. We're all built very similarly. That's the competition. Kudos to Ron Rivera for building what we have. I'm looking forward very much to next year.

You still have to score points to win a games  and when you have top defense along with a top offense your true complete team. To beat Seattle or team like that  you have to play physical defense, contain the QB, and run the ball consistently. We have most of the personal , all we need is another WR/TE and OL and we should have a top offense that can run the ball, sustain long drive, and red-zone conversion. We can play physical with our run game and QB and we can go finesse with our passing game.

The OC had little to do with Mannings season,Manning has been doing this year in and out. They ran this same Offense against the Patriots during reg season and Probably other teams and there OC never adjusted because it worked. The guys is below average, when the oline wasn't holding up he should have feed Knowshon the ball but they kept running the same offense, that offense was as vanilla as it can get . The seahawks shutdown what they wanted to do, and they had no back-up plan whatsoever

    • So he became GM and decided not to address the weakness in the QB room following one of the worst rookie QB performances in NFL history?  There were options last season other than signing Dalton to a 2 year deal. Brissett and Jones by a wide margin, both of whom outplayed Bryce, Wilson, Winston, hell even Rivers off the couch was more exciting at the QB position. The time to address the failure in the QB room was last year but instead people on the Huddle cheered when we brought Dalton back then cheered when we were able to get anything for him after they finally realized he was washed up like a few of had been saying all along and got poo'd for even mentioning.  This year, the options were more limited obviously, especially since we lost Icky. It changed the dynamic of our draft. I think we were stuck this year keeping Bryce, but i still think giving him a 5th year option for what has amounted to replacement worthy performance was the wrong move. Why guarantee 25m if you're planning to replace him? You think he's going to want to be a bridge QB? Hell no. He's going to want out and we'll end up cutting him if he has another lackluster season because no one is trading for him with that price tag.  Were there better options as far as production available. A couple. Were there guys available with more physical tools than Bryce, Pickett or Grier, you damn well better believe there were. I've been saying all along, you always keep looking for your 1b. Bryce has yet to prove he can be a starter. Keep looking for someone who may. Put competition in camp. Let the best QB lead the team. Stop settling for less than mediocre.
    • Reasonable. I mean I didn’t see a clear path to relief this season myself. As I have typed already, I think the QB FA class is more interesting next season and that draft is supposed to be stacked as well. There just weren’t many options this year.  When you have Tepper to contend with you have to tread lightly around this unless you are 100% certain and willIng to stake your job on it.   There were a couple of outings that helped Bryce a lot in terms of  thinking maybe he can do this, and if you are a supporter you are giving them a lot of weight. You are likely to think just get him some more help and he can do that every week. Which I think Tepper falls into that category.  And the playoffs, division champs, regardless of the way I see that, the supporters will also give that a lot of weight.    And the big one, the atmosphere In BOA for that WC game, Tepper had to be soiling himself over that. If you pulled Bryce out right now you had better be right and your new guy had better make the playoffs and look good doing it or you will be gone and your chance to build your old team back into respectability will be gone too.  So here we have Pickett on a one year deal, and Grier and King. I understand it.
