At the time he was right about Luke. Until we moved him to mlb he was looking terrible. And we did me a dt then also. He made this assuming beason would be healthy

He was at WLB for like his first 2-3 games cuz of beason and so no he was not right and it's idiotic to say any team made a good/bad draft pick until at least 3-4 years after that dradt, let alone the first 2 games after the draft.

Not the only one but I don't think anyone followed him more than I did. Most people learned about him during his Auburn time. I knew about him throughout those times:

Watch how he looked away the defenders on some of his throws. By the way, it would be unfair for Cam to have a legit OL to protect him.

No body fuging cares. You're not special.

in the moment after the draft you could say that without problem. everyone thought beason would make a full recovery. so why not get a dominant dt to aid his ability was strong opinion on here. hindsight is 20/20 but at that time you could look at it like why no invest in another position type of thing

No poo. You do realize Auburn is #2 in the country right? Cuz thts exactly what i said. "I have a knack for knowing who will be good in the pros...." As u name all college players with zero pro experience. Man you sure are good. Going out on a limb by saying how the top 20 qbs in the nation have talent. Guess we got the next Mel Kiper on our hands.

Number 2 QB at Auburn (obviously an unbelievably talented player) ... "IM TELLING U GUYS!! HES GOOD!!"

"EVERY SINGLE HUDDLER WAS WRONG ABOUT CAM EXCEPT FOR ME" lmao. Thanks man. Funniest poo ive heard in a while

Those guys I mentioned, like Bridgewater, weren't even 5 star guys coming outta HS yet I'm able to tell they'll be highly drafted in the NFL. Jeremy Johnson is not a 5 star guy yet I'm telling you he will be a top 5. Now you know about him so you can pretend to downplay the info I gave. Now you can go tell your friends and show them your nostrodamus ability. Don't be mad cause I was 100% sure about Cam and I'm 100% sure about Bridgewater while you sit around waiting for Kiper to tell you what to think.

This is why I don't bother to read what most of these "draft experts" have to say.

The only guys I listen to are guys that have actual credentials in the business like former GM's and NFL scouts (minus Casserly who is a dinosaur and is totally out of touch with the modern NFL).

Who is the number 2 QB on the #1 team in the country? Did you predict he would be highly drafted before he even get there? It's not as simple. There are over 100 teams in the FBS that means there over 100 #2, which one can you predict will be highly drafted? Jeremy Johnson is not even highly on the radar. In fact he was the #24 ranked QB on scout(dot)com. I'm not talking about some 5 star #1 overall outta HS like Winston here. Bridgewater was in the same boat.

I have no idea who you are arguing with, or what you're arguing about. There are 55 million people who think Bridgewater will be a great pro. Congrats. Join the club. Theres not one single person on here arguing you and saying "He will suck."

You said there are over 100 #2 QBs in the nation? Why would that matter at all? But sure go ahead and compare the backup from Middle Tennessee State to the backup for Auburn. Because thats the same.......   You can exaggerate all you want. Fact is, if you're playing QB at Auburn, Bama, etc, then theres a pretty good chance you have talent. Sorry to break it to you. You're not some glorified scout, by predicting that this soon-to-be Heisman finalist is going to be a "good player."

"Correctly predict..." WTF are you taking about? nothing has happened. You mention 4 amazingly talented college quarterbacks and then act like you're their agent and found them out of no where. Again, ill try to sum this up in as simple words as I can for you since youre just not getting it. 1) no one is arguing against you. 2) none of these guys have even been drafted yet, let alone play, let alone become successful in this league, let alone show they can CONTINUE to be successful and werent just a flash in the pan (Vince Young). So what on earth are you gloating about? It will be years before anyone with half a brain can accurately asses these guys.

But go ahead kid. Run along to your buddies and pretend you've been watching Russ Wilson/Bridgewater/whoever play since middle school and you tried to tell the world that he would be great but just no one wanted to listen.

I'm saying I knew he would be even before he took over as a freshmen at Louisville when the starter was injured. I knew that about a guy who wasn't even a 5 star nor highly recruited. LSU offered him with the condition that he would be converted to WR(yes, he's very good athlete and he'll run in the 4.5ish in the combine). This is how little recruiters thought about him but I knew he would be highly drafted once he get his opportunity to display his filthy accuracy.

And yes, none of those guys have been drafted yet but my prediction is still strong from the time I learned about them when they were in HS. you keep making my point for me. There is still room for them to bust yet I'm telling you they're going to be elite franchise QBs in the league. I was right about Cam and I will be right about Bridgewater & Johnson.

Here is another prediction that goes against the grain that no one see coming. Andrew Luck will be a bust. But, the power that be will try to keep him up longer than most other bust QBs. He'll go through a couple of coaches before they realize he's the one who sucks. I'm prophetic like that.

- out of 300 million football fans, you were the ONLY one who thought Cam Newton was good. Got it :)

- you like to watch youtube highlight videos of HS QBs and then claim them as your own . Awesome

- you are "telling" me what will happen in the future based on the fact that you know 5 years from now, once one/two of those guys flame out, no one will remember you, let alone remember this random post on a random thread.thus will never care enough to call you out on it. Good Strategy

- if you think Luck is a bust, Id hate to know what you think about Cam. lmao, the guy who takes over a 2-14 team with literally no defense, then goes 22-10 with them over 2 years, each time going to the playoffs, with one of the greatest playoff performances of all time sure "sucks" right? Those are your words. You want to say he will never win a super bowl? fine, feel free. maybe he will/maybe he wont. But the fact that you used "bust" just lost the tiny shred of credibility you had left. sorry kid. have a good day. You should learn to stop using emotion when making a point. never works out well for you. All that just got you was every single viewer now knowing never to take you seriously.

EDIT- and i pray you're one of these "numbers" guys who think stats actually mean anything. Cuz that debate really won't end well for you either.

You're a "prophet" on telling people which (already well hyped QB) will be good? great. I have a far more valuable prophetic skill, I can read one sentence from someone and know everything about them. As I did with you, as ive done 100s of times in the past. I know who to call out, have them prove it, they fail, I laugh, expose them, and move on. Dont take it personally, ill do it again to someone else soon. Take care

That's the thing about Luck, there is always this packaged argument to defend him. That's why I say it will take longer for people to finally accept he's not that good. That '2-14 team with literally no defense' argument will always be his selling point even when he's a struggling 5 year vet. Skip Bayless is the kind at coining those arguments. If you think you have a Skip Bayless type argument for a player, trust me, he's not that good. Luck didn't carry poo. He's playing in the worst division in football with 3 teams picking top 10 and 2 picking top 5, that's 6 given wins for them. They just have to go .500 out of division to get 11 wins. There is a reason teams like that aren't taken seriously. An 11 win team should be a SB contender, but they're always underdogs. Everything is moral victory for them. People get so excited when he makes a good throw to a wide open Hilton. What back up in the game can't make a good throw. Mark Sanchez made some great throws for 4 years but he's always a bum  that turns the ball over a lot due to his lack of decision making ability. Yes, my friend, accept it. Luck will NOT make it. But he's a Lucky son of a gun though. You can tell a QB suck when they leave and their team is even more successful with an even less hyped QB that won't even be drafted. That's Luck. In reverse, you can tell a QB suck when after leaving their team win the national championship. That's EJ Manuel. Both Manuel and Luck will bust because they both suck. They both held their team back or compete at the level of UDFA.

None of the QBs I mentioned were well hyped coming outta HS and I knew they'd be high draft picks. Fact!

didnt read.

Let the adults talk football and you go keep reading your Mel Kiper and Todd Mcshay articles and getting all pissy when Todd moved a QB from number 3 to number 4 on his list like you did a month ago. And go watch more youtube videos of the worlds best athletes that you claim you discovered in pop warner. Take care kid.

    • If we pay Bryce like a franchise QB we're completely and utterly buttfuged.
    • In my view, the realistic expectation for this team to compete will start 2027.  At that time, I think we could be looking at the following (this is HIGHLY speculative):   QB:  You know, Bryce.  I am not a fan, but they don't ask me.  But there is reason for hope--and here it is.  Bryce will be entering his prime.  Since we are likely to pay him, there will be changes that I include throughout this exercise--I realistically speculate on what they are going to do with Bryce and then I realistically speculate on what means in terms of the cap and other positions. Bryce HAS IMPROVED.  The idea is that if you give him more weapons and protection, that will continue.  His career:   At this rate, if his growth continues, by 2027 we should expect nearly 30 TDs and about 12 Interceptions and a Rating of about 98.  His completion percentage should settle at 65-66% or so.  If that happens, you can win with it. The following stats demonstrate how the Panthers will be able to afford it (and re-sign Ickey) My guess is they will require about $60m per year. This is why rookies who can play are important.  It also helps us see the blueprint.  You may disagree, but this is the cruel realities of the salary cap. Robert Hunt:  Cut post June 1 and save $19m.  Who do you replace him with?  Ickey. Tershawn Wharton:  Cutting him saves nearly $15m.  We should all hope to see Aaron Hall (UDFA) make the roster and play well.  Regardless, this is a position we would likely have to address in the next draft. Trevin Moehrig:  Cutting Moehrig as the starting SS saves this team $16.5m.   Ransom will be on year 3 of a cheap rookie deal and should be more than ready to take the reins.  their styles are similar.  Furthermore, FS Wheatley (R, 4th round) will be starting. Taylor Moton:  So much depends on his knee, but I have an idea that he can play another 3 years.  extending him could save the team about $5m per year.  Cutting him outright would save the team about $21m. In the most drastic situation, we have to cut Moton and the other three players mentioned.   We would need (in all likelihood) a starting DT and RT.  It is possible that the DE would be addressed, but Wharton's production (so far) could be equaled by a rookie.  Look for a cut free agent and a 2027 draft pick here.  If you cut Moton, you save $21m, and that would be the only big hole to fill.  Having Ickey at RG gives you some depth at T, and Ickey could be the guy.  T could be pick in the 2027 draft (first round), fwiw.  It saves you $21m while costing you $5m, for example. We get younger, creating a core of Freeling, Hecht, and the RT first rounder in 2027) along with Ekownu (second contract in the $15m range, and Lewis, whose contract would be in the $16m range if not extended.)  The OL cuts (Hunt, Moton) would save $40m.  The OL would get younger and still solid with veterans at G.   By cutting Wharton (no brainer if his play stays the same) and Moehrig (good player--but we have Ransom on a rookie contract who would not be that much of a drop off--if any) in addition to Hunt and Moton, we would save over $70m in cap room. We would be able to give Bryce bag  and we would have enough to re-sign Ickey (if the knee is not too risky) to a Guard contract (probably at a discount, coming off that injury).  Furthermore, we could add a RT in the draft (or a RG if Ickey moves to RT) and that would be the only large hole to fill. Correct my logic if you see issues-- On defense, in addition to the aforementioned, Scott ($2m contract) is out, replaced by a 4th round rookie contract. CB Jackson's contract ($7.8m) expires and he is (possibly) replaced by a rookie contract.  At Edge, patrick Jones II's $10m contract expires and he is likely a reserve, and his role is absorbed by Phillips, Scourton, Princely, and possible an UDFA like Isaiah Smith or a 2027 draft pick.   These productive developmental players over the past 2 drafts will pay huge dividends.  On paper, I see the team getting much younger and possibly better while cutting nearly $100m and reallocating that money to get more production.
    • If everything played out and that last thing happened, I probably just quit.
