the guy who takes over a 2-14 team with literally no defense, then goes 22-10 with them over 2 years, each time going to the playoffs, with one of the greatest playoff performances of all time sure "sucks"

Please tell me you're not talking about the Chief's game last month where he played like Teebow the whole first half before Andy Reid went full retard in the second.

Look, I don't have a dog in this fight, but you did just mention that the dude you're arguing with shouldn't use emotion when making a point. Using that type of hyperbole is pretty much the same thing.

yes thats what I was reffering to. The guy who played like a semi-retarded, socially awkward, virgin, Christian, bible beating, god awful quarterback that luckily had Andy Reid handed him the game. Thats exactly how it happened.

God damn, the huddle would have absolutely exploded had Cam done that. But, its just another guy who ESPN likes, so therefore hes automatically the enemy and everything he does is.... "eh....."

As for Cam, everyone including here was wrong about him except the Panthers organization and me, of course. I knew this guy would be a beast from a youtube clip, then I followed him in FL then Blinn and I was excited when he got his chance to play division 1 at Auburn. The kid was money on every level.

all hail evangelion, the one guy on carolina huddle who wanted cam newton before the draft

that's right, the only one

Never mind the fact that there were a few Cam proponents (including, yours truly), Envangelion has only been a member of the Huddle for a little over a couple of months.

in the moment after the draft you could say that without problem. everyone thought beason would make a full recovery. so why not get a dominant dt to aid his ability was strong opinion on here. hindsight is 20/20 but at that time you could look at it like why no invest in another position type of thing

You don't grade draft picks 5 minutes after they're picked

Cam was divisive on the Huddle before we drafted him, but my most pied thread ever was my essay on why we should pick him #1 that I posted in early March 2011. At least 50 or 60 people pied it. There were a lot of people that wanted Dareus or Peterson, but I'd say a plurality wanted Cam.

idk dude. Evengelion clearly said he was the only person on the planet who wanted Cam. Soooooo, im not sure about this imaginary "thread" of yours, and the "60 other people" who agreed about liking the Cam pick.

No offense, I just tend to believe  the guy who joined this website 3 months ago, yet tells the rest of us how things were years and years back

didnt read.

Let the adults talk football and you go keep reading your Mel Kiper and Todd Mcshay articles and getting all pissy when Todd moved a QB from number 3 to number 4 on his list like you did a month ago. And go watch more youtube videos of the worlds best athletes that you claim you discovered in pop warner. Take care kid.

/thread

whatever, guy!

    • What I love and hate about this team is it’s more filled with potential breakout players than ever before. JT, XL, Coker, Smith-Wade, Ikem, Trevin… and even Bryce are all guys I could legitimately see taking the next step. But the problem with having so many of those guys is that team success somewhat relies on them taking that step, and some are bound not to. That being said, I’m cautiously optimistic given our softer schedule, the way the offense clicked late last year, and the direction we finally have at GM, coach, and QB. Could see us as a sneaky playoff team.
    • Me, signing up for FanDuel Network, and then canceling FanDuel Network:
    • Smith-Wade for me. He has the path to some decent hefty snaps in Evero’s scheme. He held his own last year and improved as he continued to get snaps— If he makes some strides, could be a very capable nickel.  I agree with Sanders. Bryce had some trust in him that final Falcons game post crazy head-stand.  Bryce looked for him a lot that final game and made some critical catches to get us the W. Seems he’s put in major work so I’m hopeful about him.  Wallace will have an offseason under his belt. I like him a lot, was higher graded than most remember in his draft (I.e Brugler had him LB3/70 overall) but he isn’t as cerebral of an LB as we’re used to. I think he could thrive if we get D captain/film-junky type next to him— because right now that’s Jewell.  Still a bit cautious but love the talent. Rozeboom may snag some playing time from him if he’s still working out the kinks.
