So what now at LT?

yeah, he was Gross' backup heading into the season. he gave up zero QB pressures during preseason. hes nimble and athletic. seems to be better suited at LT imo. he still did a good job at G considering the transition.

Thanks, that is what I thought I remembered, but was not for sure.  Maybe he is the answer? I am pulling for him. It seemed like he was in the endzone celebrating touchdowns all the time.

Got this off a poster in another topic, I saw this on twitter myself, if this doesn't worry you now I don't know what will, that's pretty much all the elite tackles gone and the prices aren't even as high as I'd imagined they would be, so unless there's a whole bunch of guys I have missed out on seeing in the OT FA lists, were gona go for a rookie from the draft to play at LT or use a guy on our roster?

Slightly worrying? no way the top three tackles drop to #28 in my opinion, the next three rated highly are Moses, Koumandijo, Richardson but are they really starters? There good prospects but with injury issues and two of those graded second rounders I just don't know if I'm comfortable with us not taking one of these top free agent tackles to replace Jordan and protect Cams blindside, I mean LT is the second biggest role on the roster?

THE Mr. Aaron Wilson recently put up an article about Eugene Monroe's contract negotiations with the Ravens, but also adds more information from his sources for the rest of the OL market.

Quote

Kansas City Chiefs offensive tackle Branden Albert is expected to sign with the Miami Dolphins for an average of $9.5 million annually.

St. Louis Rams offensive tackle Rodger Saffold is expected to sign with the Oakland Raiders for roughly $8 million per year, but he is still in talks with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Oakland Raiders offensive tackle Jared Veldheer is expected to sign with the Arizona Cardinals for between $7 million and $7.5 million.

Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Anthony Collins is expected to sign with the Buccaneers for between $6.5 million to $7 million provided that he doesn't re-sign with the Bengals.

Don't worry, be happy :-D

According to Adam Schefter, with the projections of other of FA, it looks like Monroe would have "no choice" but to negotiate with the Ravens.

We might make a move here for him as rumored if Monroe doesn't get the huge deal he's most likely looking for.

Mondoe is wanting around 10 million per season. Not sure how that works out with his signing bonus under the cap. He may be worth it. 24 total QB pressures in 2013, including only 4 Sacks allowed with a sedentary Flacco. I'm not sure how we can come up with that $ and knowing that this would be his third team makes him a journeyman, rather than a franchise bookend but he is coming into his prime and could be that guy.

He's pretty lean, mobile with a specialty in pass protection. Could stand to pack on about 10 more pounds of muscle mass but that's nitpicking, He is a veteran with Super Bowl experience.

I think it all comes down to if this is "the guy" for the Panthers as he will be looking for because he will be looking for a long-term at max number. Hard to pass up on a guy who is ready to play his best football at a position of utter importance. There would had to be some serious salary cuts and he would likely be the only FA that could come in and changes nothing about draft strategy as we would still have major needs at DB, WR, and OL.

I stay we stay pay with who we have on the roster and I have to be encouraged that Gross wouldn't leave the team with such a hole as we perceive there is. That money would be nice to use on our current roster, re-signing FAs, DB's, WR's and draft picks. That way we can keep our current roster intact without the prospects of being forced to cut Smitty, D-lo or forced to trade Hardy.
