    I really think there is a clause in the Panthers contract that says they must play prevent D with two minutes to go in order to be part of the NFL Cuz it just doesn't make sense

    Yep this is why I've said every DC we have ever had has done this. I can't remember one who did not...maybe back in 02-03?. Anyway even in our best years we had to win having the ball last.
